An Ordinance amending Sections Six (6) and Seven (7)
Chapter One (1) of the Revised Ordinances of the
City of Fort orth, passed and adopted by the Board
of Commissioners of the City of Fort; orth at a
session of said Board held Tuesday,` January 26,
1915, and providing that all officers of the City

day or month, may at any time be removed from such
office or employment by a vote of the majority of
said Board of Commissioners.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH:
Section 1. Hereafter, Sections Six (6) and
Seven (7) , Chapter One (1) of the Revised Ordinances
of the City of Fort -.-.orth, passed and adopted by the
Board of Commissioners of the City of Fort k.orth at a
session of said Board held Tuesday, January 26th, 1915,
shall read and be as follows:
Section 6. APPOINTIVE OFFICY'R.S, FOW REMOVED.
All officers of the City of Fort Worth whose
positions come by appointment from the Board of Com-
missioners, and all employees of said City, may at any
j time be removed from office by a vote of the majority

of said Board of Commissioners, and in making said
removal it shall not be necessary, nor shall it be re-
quired to assign any reason therefor; that such removal
may take place by a mere order to that effect!by. said
Board of Commissioners, and thereupon and thereafter
all right to salary or compensation upon the part of
any officer or employee se removed, shall absolutely
cease and determine, and suc- officer eA employee shall
only receive compensation up to the time- of his removal
:hether his salary be paid by the week or the month.
Section 7. OFFICER DEFINED.- By the Ord,
"officer" as hereinbefore mentioned, is meant any
person who may derive his position through an appoint-

ment by the said Board of Commissioners, or any :_..ber
thereof, and by the word "employe" is meant any per-
son employed by the City in any of its various de-
partments, and who is paid for his services by the
day,week- or month, prouided.,howP_ver, thwt this
Ordinance shall not be construed to prevent the
exercise of the power of removal of any employee of
the City of Fort Worth on the part of the Mayor or
any member of the Board of Cow.issioners, where the
power so to do is conferred by the Charter of the City
of Fort Worth, or by any other Ordinance heretofore
passed or now legally in existence.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take
effect and be in force from and after its passage
and adoption by the Board of Commissioners of the City
of Fort orth.
