ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THAT PART OF PRESIDIO
STREET LYING BETWEEN BLOCKS 14 AND 15, TEXAS &
PACIFIC RAILWAY COMPANY'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, LYING SOUTH
OF A STRAIGHT LINE DRAWN BETWEEN AND CONNECTING
THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 6, BLOCK 14, TEXAS &
PACIFIC RAILWAY COMPANY'S ADDITION AND THE NORTH-
WEST CORNER OF LOT 1, BLOCK 15, TEXAS & PACIFIC
RAILWAY COMPANY'S ADDITION, EXTENDING FROM THE
EAST PROPERTY LINE OF SOUTH ADAMS STREET TO THE
WEST PROPERTY LINE OF ASH STREET, BE VACATED,
ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION
OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDI-
NANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
WHEREAS, heretofore by Ordinance No. 2966, unanimously
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held the 21st day
of May, 1952, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant
County, Texas, among other things, vacated, abandoned and closed
that part of Presidio Street lying between Blocks 14 and 15, Texas
& Pacific Railway Company's Addition to the City of Fort Worth,
Tarrant County, Texas, from the southeasterly line of the East-West
Freeway to the west property line of College Avenue; and
WHEREAS, some question has arisen as to the location of
the southeasterly line of the East-West Freeway and hence as to
the land covered by the ordinance in question; and
WHEREAS, it is desired to clarify said ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS:

Section 1
That that part of Presidio Street lying between Blocks 14
and 15, Texas & Pacific Railway Company's Addition to the City
of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, lying South of a straight
line drawn between and connecting the southwest corner of Lot 6,
Block 14, Texas & Pacific Railway Company's Addition, and the
northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 15, Texas & Pacific Railway
Company's Addition, extending from the east property line of South
Adams Street to the west property line of Ash Street, be and the
same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a
street and public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatsoever.
Section 2
That the fee to said land in said street is hereby released
and will revert to the adjacent owners as provided by law.
Section 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
Section 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect upon and after the date of its passage.
