ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE SOUTH TEN
(10) FEET OF THE EIGHTY (80) FOOT RIGHT-OF-
WAY OF SHAMROCK STREET FROM FOCH STREET
EAST 1,010 FEET TO VACEK STREET BE VACATED,
ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE
REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PRO-
VIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the south ten (10) feet of the eighty (80) foot
right-of-way of Shamrock Street from Poch Street east 1,010
feet to Vacek Street along the north line of Blocks 11 and
14, Bailey's Industrial Addition to the City of Fort Worth,
Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same is hereby closed,
abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or public
thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever, save and
except that the said vacated right-of-way is reserved as a
utility easement.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee
to the land in said street is hereby released and shall revert
to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage.

Lenmo, Inc. , and Fort Worth Associated Properties, owners of all abutting
property, have requested that the City vacate the south ten (10) feet of the
existing eighty (80) foot right-of-way of Shamrock Street, a length of 1,010
feet. Subject right-of-way abuts the north property line of Blocks 11 and
14, Bailey's Industrial Addition, as shown on the attached map.
Subject portion of Shamrock Street right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is
not paved. This request is made for the purpose of expanding the building
area.
City Departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and
have no objection to this vacation provided the Applicants plat the vacated
right-of-way with adjoining property and retain the vacated right-of-way as
a utility easement.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption of
an ordinance vacating the public right-of-sway as requested, subject to the
conditions recommended above by the City Departments and private utility
companies.
The Applicants have submitted a satisfactory replat.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way
as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
