ORDINANCE NO. ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ADOPTING ESTIMATES OF THE COST OF IMPROVEMENTS AND OF AMOUNTS TO BE ASSESSED FOR IMPROVEMENTS ON A PORTION OF FLINT STREET AND PORTIONS OF SUNDRY OTHER STREETS, AVENUES AND PUBLIC PLACES IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, FIXING TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING TO THE OWNERS OF ABUTTING PROPERTY AND TO ALL OTHERS INTERESTED, AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO GIVE NOTICE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, has heretofore ordered that each of the hereinafter described portions of streets, avenues and public places in the City of Fort Worth, Texas, be improved by raising, grading and filling same and by constructing thereon a 7-2 inch flexible base course with a 11 inch Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete Surface, with combined curbs and gutters on proper grade and line where same are not already so constructed, together with storm sewers and drains and other necessary incidentals and appurtenances, all of which said improvements are to be constructed as and where shown on the Plans and in strict accordance with the Plans and Specifications therefor; and contract therefor has been made and entered into with Texas Bitulithic Company; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, has caused the Public Works Director to prepare and file estimates of the cost of such improvements and estimates of the amounts per front foot proposed to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof, and such estimates have been examined, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION I. Such estimates be, and they are hereby, adopted and approved. SECTION II. It is hereby found and determined that the cost of improve- ments on each portion of street, avenue and public place herein- after described, with the amount or amounts per front foot proposed to be assessed for such improvements against the abutting property and the owners thereof, are as follows, to wit: On FLINT STREET: from the westerly line of the M-K-T Railroad right-of-way to the easterly line of Hemphill Street, known and designated as Unit No. 1: the estimated cost of the improvements is $ O O; the estimated amount per front foot to be assesse against abutting property and the owners thereof for curb and gutter is $' Z. ,9 , the estimated amount per front foot to be assessed agains .abutting property and the owners thereof for improvements exclusive of curb and gutter is $� ,5"Q ; total estimated amount per front foot - 1 - to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof is $ ��Sp On BRYAN AVENUE: from the southerly line of East Berry Street to the northerly line of East Shaw Street, known and designated as Unit No. 2: the estimated cost of the improve- ments is $Z,,,,pO�; the estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof for curb and gutter is $ 00 ; the estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof for improvements exclusive of curb and gutter is $ d� 79 total estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof is $ Z,7z On STUART DRIVE: from the southerly line of East Dickson Street to the northerly line of East Pafford Street, known and designated as Unit No. 3: the estimated cost of the improve- ments is $ S/_i OD ; the estimated amount per front foot to be assessed a,ga,inst abutting property and the owners thereof for curb and gutter is $ _Z.O O ; the estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof for improvements exclusive of curb and gutter is $ 3 ; total estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof is $ Qs'.3_o On ORANGE STREET: from the westerly line of Townsend Drive to the easterly line of Forest Park Boulevard, known and designated as Unit No. 4: the estimated cost of the improve- ments is $ Q ; the estimated amount per front foot to be assessed a-gaInst abutting property and the owners thereof for curb and gutter is $ QO ; the estimated amount per front foot to be assessed againstaTutting property and the owners thereof for improvements exclusive of curb and gutter is $ �3.,IrP ; total estimated amount per front foot to be assessed against abutting property and the owners thereof is SECTION III. A hearing be given and held by and before the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, to all owning or claiming any property abutting upon said portions of streets, avenues and public places and to all others owning or claiming any interest in any such property. Such hearing shall be given and held on the day of SANE , A. D., 1958, at ld'00 o'clock, M., in the Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City o Fort Worth, Texas, and the City Secretary is hereby directed to give notice of the time and place of such hearing and of other matters and facts in accordance with the terms and provisions of the Act passed at the First Called Session of the Fortieth Legislature of the State of Texas, known as Chapter 106 of the Acts of said Session, now shown as Article 1105b of Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, which Act has been adopted as an amendment to and made a past of the Charter of the City of Fort Worth, Texas. Such notice shall be by advertisement inserted at least three times in. a newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, Texas, the first publication to be made at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing and said notice shall comply with and be in accordance with the terms and provisions of said Act. rd PASSED AND APPROVED This -Z —' day of A.
