AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2978 REGULATING
THE INSTALLATION OF PLUMBING BY PROVIDING FOR THE
LAYING OF SEMI-RIGID PLASTIC SEWER SERVICE PIPELINES;
PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION HEREOF; PROVI-
DING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMULATIVE OF ALL
OTHER ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That Ordinance No. 2978 be amended, and that there be added to Section
9, Paragraph 9-1, of such Ordinance the following language:
Semi-rigid plastic sewer pipe and fittings of 4"
in size and manufactured in compliance with specifica-
tions and standards No. CWB-5-957 and all connections
made between pipe and fittings with solvent or plastic
cement and in compliance with the recommendations for
joints issued by the manufacturer of such pipe and
fittings.
All semi-rigid plastic sewer service lines shall
be laid, ditched and back-filled in accordance with
the requirements for the laying, ditching and back-
filling of fiber pipe used for sewer service lines.
Section 2.
Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this ordinance
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined
not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00).
Section 3.
This ordinance shall be cumulative of all other ordinances of the City
of Fort Worth except in those instances where such ordinances are in conflict
herewith, in which instances, the terms, of this ordinance shall prevail.
Section 4.
Should any section, article, provision or part of this ordinance be
declared to be unconstitutional and void by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such decision shall in no way affect the validity of any of the remaining parts
of this ordinance unless the part held unconstitutional or void is inseparable
from and indispensable to the operation of the remaining parts. The City Coun-
cil hereby declares that it would have passed those parts of this ordinance
which are valid and omitted any parts which may be unconstitutional if it had
known that such parts were unconstitutional at the time of the passage of this
ordinance.
Section 5.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from
and after the date of its passage and publication as provided by law.
