HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 2777 i; ORDINANCE NO. .AN ORDINANCE AhINDING ORDINANCE NO. 2082, BEING AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE AND RESTRICT THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES, AND LAND FOR TRADE, INDUSTRY, RESIDENCE, OR OTHER PURPOSES, THE HEIGHT, NUMBER OF STORIES, AND SIZE OF BUILD- INGS AND OTHER STRUCTURES, THE SIZE OF YARDS AND OTHER OPEN SPACES, AND THE DENSITY OF POPULATION, AND FOR SAID PURPOSES TO DIVIDE THE MUNICIPALITY INTO SUCH DISTRICTS OF NUMBER, SHAPE AND AREA AS MAY BE DEMIED BEST BY FIXING DEFINITE USES OF THE BUILDINGS HEREINAFTER ERECTED IN SAID DESCRIBED AREAS FROM THE USES AS SHOWN ON THE MAPS CONTAINED IN SAID ORDINANCE NO. 2082; PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING A FINE OF NOT LESS THAN $5.00 NOR MORE THAN $50.00 FOR EACH OFFENSE, AND THAT EACH DAY THAT A VIOLATION IS PER19TTED TO EXIST SHALL CONSTITUTE A SEPARATE OFFENSE; AND NAMING AN EFFECTIVE, DATE. TE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 2082 be amended so that the following described uses in the hereinafter described areas be altered, changes and amended as follows to wit: RECOh^&MDED CHANGE AREAS FROM TO Blocks 18 through 31, Jennings West Addition "D" & "E" "G" (Summit Avenue ts.Lake Street and) (Lancaster north through loth Street) Lots 13, 14 and 15, Block 13; and, Lots 10, 11 and 12, Block 16, Crawford Addition "C" "F" (2200 block %enneca Street) Tract 109 north of E. Belknap in A. McLemore Survey; and Lots 4 through 10, Block 1, Homer L. Aikman Addition "E" "I" (2800 E. Belknap Street) Lots 9 and 10, Block 14, Kennedy's Addition "C" "E!'' (Sff corner Kennedy and Pine Streets) Lots 12 and 13, Block 120; and, Lots 10 and 11 Block 119, Y. G. Reilway Company Survey, as described in Ordinance No. 2741 Annexed Area "A" (South of Westcliff Addition) That Section 17, HEIGHT: be amended to read as follows: HEIGHT: No building hereafter erected or structurally altered shall exceed a height of twenty—eight (28) stories. SECTION 2. Should any section, clause or provision of this ordinance be declared by the Court to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the Ordinance as a whole or any part thereof, other than the part so declared to be invalid. SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined not less than Five and no/100 Dollars ($5.00) nor more than Fifty and no/100 Dollars ($50.00) for each offense. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense. SECTION 4. This Ordinance will take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as required by lazy.
