AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING TERRITORY FROM
WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH; PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH:
Section 1.
That the following described territory within the corporate limits of
the City of Fort Worth is hereby discontinued as a part of the City of Fort
Worth and said tract of land is described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEING a tract of land about six miles northwest fran the
Courthouse of Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in and including
all or part of the J.C.Donaldson and J.M. Basques Surveys, and
being more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point 250 feet south of the south right-of-
way line of Charbonneau Road, 50 feet south of the present city
limit line of the City of Fort Worth, said point being 50 feet
east of the present city limit line of Lake Worth Village, the
present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth and the east
right-of-way line of Dakota Trail produced north;
THENCE in an easterly direction along a line 50 feet south
of and parallel to the present city limit line of the City of Fort
Worth, and the present city limit line of Lake Worth Village, 250
feet south of the south right-of-way line of Charbonneau Road and
the south right-of-way line of Jacksboro Highway to its intersection
with the west right-of-way line of Roberts Cut-Off Road;
THENCE south along the west right-of-way line of Roberts Cut-
Off Road to its intersection with the city limit line of the City of
Fort Worth as referred to in the corporate boundary description of
the City of Fort ;North, as contained in the Fort Worth City Code of
1950;
THENCE west, south, west, southwesterly, south, west, north,
west, northwesterly, north, and west along the city limit line of
the City of Fort Worth as referred to in the corporate boundary
description of the City of Fort Worth, as contained in the Fort
Worth City Code of 1950, to a point 50 feet east of the present
city limit line of the City of Fort Forth and Lake Worth Village;
THENCE north along a line 50 feet east of and parallel to
the present city limit lines of the City of Fort o,'orth and Lake
V,orth Village, to the point of beginning and containing approxi-
mately 1.188 square miles.
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in
conflict herewith, and more particularly this Ordinance expressly amends Ordinance
No. 3717, heretofore adopted and passed on July 15, 1963, but as to all other
ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this
ordinance shall be and is hereby, made cumulative.
Section 3.
If any section, subsection or provision of this ordinance shall be held
invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the portion
eo held to be invalid or unconstitutional shall not affect any other part of
the ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4.
This ordinance, after it has been duly passed, shall be entered as an order
on the minutes and permanent records of the City of Fort Worth, from and after
the date of its entry, the territory hereinbefore described shall cease to be a
past of the City of Fort Worth.
Section 5.
That this Ordinance shall became effective and shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, and it is so ordained.
