BROOKLYN HEIGHTS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS,, BETWEEN LOCKE AVENUE AND THE EAST-WEST FREEWAY FROM DE GARY STREET TO BELASCO STREET, BE ABANDONED, VACATED AND CLOSED; AND PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE TO SAID LAND. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the alley in Block 19, Brooklyn Heights Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, between Locke Avenue and the East-West Freeway from De Gary Street to Belasco Street, be and the same is hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public thoroughfare of any kind or char- acter whatever. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in said alley above described is hereby released and will revert to the owners as provided by law, save and except that easements are retained for any or all existing utility lines, including a 10 foot easement for the existing sanitary sewer, being measured 5 feet each side of the center of the sewer, and an easement for existing Texas Elec- tric Service Company facilities located in the east 80 feet of said alley. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. APP�R'O�VVEEED. City Secretary" Honorable Mayor and Re: Requested Alley Closing, Block Members of the City Council 19, Brooklyn Heights Addition City of Fort Worth Mrs. McKnight and Gentlemen: A request has been received from all'of the adjacent property owners for the closing of the alley in Block 19, Brooklyn Heights Addition. The purpose of this request is to permit the consolidation and development of commercial property. The Public Works and City Planning Departments have investigated this request, have contacted all interested parties, and have found no objections to the closing, provided easements are reserved for existing Texas Electric Service Company and sanitary sewer facilities. The alley to be closed is as follows: The alley in Block 19, Brooklyn Heights Addition, to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, between Locke Avenue and the East-West Freeway from De Gary Street to Belasco Street; SAVE AND EXCEPT easements being reserved for any and all existing 'at&1- tttes including a 10 foot easement for the existing sanitary sewer being measured 5 feet each side of the center of the sewer, and the east 80 feet of the alley being reserved as easement for existing Texas Electric Service Company facilities.
