AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND VACATING THE TEN FOOT EASE-
MENT ABUTTING LOTS 1 THROUGH 13 AND CROSSING LOT 2,
BLOCK 3, ROSEDALE PARK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, AND VACATING, ABANDON-
ING AND CLOSING MAC ARTHUR DRIVE FROM THE NORTH
RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF STATE HIGHWAY 303 TO THE WEST
LINE OF TRACT 6, W. H. HUDSON SURVEY; PROVIDING FOR
THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CON-
FLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the easement 10 feet in width and approximately 484
feet in length abutting Lots 1 through 13 and crossing Lot 2,
Block 3, Rosedale Park Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tar-
rant County, Texas, be and the same is hereby extinguished, va-
cated, closed and permanently abandoned as an easement for
public utilities.
SECTION 2.
That Mac Arthur Drive in the 5700 block, from the north
right-of-way line of State Highway 303 to the west line of
Tract 6, W. H. Hudson Survey, be and the same is hereby closed,
abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or public thorough-
fare of any kind or character whatever, save and except that
any and all existing easements in said street right-of-way are
retained.
SECTION 3.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to
the land in said easement and street above described is hereby
released and shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as
provided by law.
SECTION 4.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage.

„/� Lloyd C. Blair has requested that the City vacate an easement 10 feet in
Iff width and approximately 484 feet ins length abutting lots 1 thru 13 and
crossing lot 2, block 3, Rosedale Park .Addition, and to vacate Mac Arthur Drive
in the 5700 block of a width of 50 feet and a length of approximately 170
feet from the north right-of-way line of State Highway '303 to the west line
of Tract 6, W. H. Hudson Survey as shown on the attached map.
Subject easement and street right-of-way were acquired by dedication and the
easement is not in use and the street is unimproved. City departments and
private utility companies have reviewed this request and offer no objections
to abandonment of subject right-of-way subject to the filing of an adequate
replat. Such a replat has been furnished.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption
of an ordinance vacating the easement and public right-of-way as requested.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject easement and
right-of-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
