AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE EAST-WEST ALLEY
IN BLOCK 52, CHAMBERLIN-ARLINGTON HEIGHTS AD-
DITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT
COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM CAMP BOWIE BOULEVARD EAST
TO LITTLEPA13E STREET, BE ABANDONED, VACATED
AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF
THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID
LAND; REPEACIING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; A14D PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the east west alley in Block 52, Chamberlin-
Arlington Heights Addition to the City of Fort Worth,
Tarrant County, Texas, from Camp Bowie Boulevard east to
Littlepage Street, be and the same is hereby vacated,
closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public
thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee
to the land in said portion of the alley is hereby re-
leased and shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee
as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage.

John H. Maddux, Fort Worth National Bank, Trustee, owner of all adjoining land
has requested that the City vacate the east-west alley in Blk 52, Chamberlin-
Arlington Heights Addition from Camp Bowie Blvd. east to Littlepage Street, as
shown on the attached map. Subject right--of-way, acquired by dedication, is
not open on the ground. There is an existing building encroachment in said
right-of-way.
If this request is granted, the Applicant intends to utilize the vacated right-
of-way for additional building area.
City departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and
have no objections provided the Applicant plats the vacated right-of-way with
adjoining property. The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and
recommends adoption of an ordinance vacating the public right-of-way.
The Applicant has submitted a satisfactory replat as requested by the Plan
Commission.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way as
recommended by the City Plan Commission.
