AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING CITY SECRETARY
CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORTY
WORTH; PROVIDI NG THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A FL WORTH, TEX,
DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER xxv II OF THE
CITY CHARTER; AMENDING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND SPECIFYING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TP—F'''CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth
is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of
said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and
being described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEING a tract of land about 9 miles northeast from the Courthouse of
Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in and including all or part of the W. C.
Trimble, P. Witt, W. Masters, J. C. Davis, J. A. Hust, W. H. Morris, J. W.
Sansom, A. S. Trimble, J. B. Johnson, W. C. Trammell, and J. W. Haynes
Surveys and being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the present City Limit Line of the City of
Fort worth, in the north right-of-way line of Randol Mill Road (County
Road No. 2021), 50D feet east from the centerline of I-820;
THENCE easterly, along the northerly right-of-way line of Randol
Mill Road (County Road No. 2021), the present City Limit Line of the
City of Fort Worth, with its meanders, to its intersection with the west
right-of-way line of Randol Mill-Hurst-Precinct Line Road (County Road
No. 3035);
THENCE north, along the west right-of-way line of Randol Mill-Hurst-
Precinct Line Road, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth,
to its intersection with the north right-of-way line of Trammell Davis
Road (County Road No. 3112) produced west,
THENCE east, to and along the north right-of-way line of Trammell
Davis Road (County Road No. 3112), the present City Limit Line of the
City of Fort Worth, to its intersection with the west right-of-sway line
of Souder Hurst Road (County Road No. 310 );
THENCE north, along the west right-of-way line of Souder Hurst Road
(County Road No. 3104), the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort
Worth, to a point 2000 feet south from the southerly right-of-way line
of the C. R. I. & G. R.R.;
THENCE northwesterly, along the present City Limit Line of the City
of Fort Worth, parallel to and 2000 feet southwesterly from the south-
westerly right-of-way line of the C. R. I. & G. R.R., to a point 1000
feet east from the east line of the H. Bennett Survey;
THENCE north, along the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort
Worth, parallel to and 1000 feet east from the east line of the H. Bennett
Survey, to its intersection with the north line of the J. W. Sansom Survey;
THENCE west, along the north line of the J. W. Sansom Survey, the
present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, to the northwest corner
of the J. W. Sansom Survey;
THENCE in a southwesterly direction along the present City Limit
Line of the City of Fort Worth to a point 500 feet east from the center-
line of I-820 and 300 feet north from the south line of the H. Bennett
survey;
THENCE south, along the present City Limit Line of the City of
Fort Worth, parallel to and 500 feet east from the centerline of I-820,
to the place of beginning and containing approximately 2.483 square miles.
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in con-
flict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance Nos.
3573 and 4866, heretofore adopted and passed on March 18, 1963, but as to all other
ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith, this ordinance
shall be and is hereby made cumulative.
Section 3.
That this ordinance shall be published one time in a daily newspaper published
in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter
XMII of the City Charter.
Section 4-
If arq section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordinary e
is for any reason held void or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections, subsections,
claasea, sentences, phrases or words, except as the sane are inseparable from and
indispensable to the remaining portions of the ordinance.
Section 5.
That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon
its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the
date of its publications, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
