AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING TERRITORY FROM
WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTHi PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE#
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE HATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH:
Section 1.
That the following described territory within the corporate limits of the
City of Fort Worth is hereby discontinued as a part of the City of Fort Worth and
said tract of land is described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEING a tract of land south of the City of Fort Worth and lying
in the J. M. B. Smith, J. W. Williams, E. Littlepage and I. Flores Surveys
and being more fully described as follows;
BEGINNING at a point in the present city limits of the City of Fort
Worth, said point being the southeast corner of Lot A, Block 86, South
Hills Addition, being located in the west right-of-way line of County
Road No. 1035, 473.93 feet south of the south right-of-way line of
Edgecliff Road (County Road No. 1002).
THENCE southerly, southwesterly, southerly, southwesterly, southerly,
westerly, and southerly along the westerly, northwesterly, westerly,
northwesterly, westerly, northerly, and westerly right-of-way line of
County Road No. 1035: with its meanders, to its intersection with the south
line of the I. Flores Survey.
THENCE westerly along the south line of the I. Flores Survey to its
intersection with the west line of the E. Littlepage Survey produced
southerly.
THENCE northerly along the west line of the E. Littlepage Survey
produced southerly and along the west line of the E. Littlepage Survey to
the northwest corner of the E. Littlepage Survey.
THENCE easterly along the north line of the E. Littlepage Survey, to
its intersection with the east line of a 27.82 acre tract in the J. W.
Williams Survey, shown on the City of Fort Worth Tax Maps as the Russom
Ranch Reservoir Site, produced southerly.
THENCE northerly, along the east line of said 27.82 acre tract
produced southerly, and along the east line of said 27.82 acre tract to
its intersection with the south line of the S. Michaelis Survey.
THENCE easterly along the south line of the S. Michaelis Survey to
the southeast corner of the S. Michaelis Survey.
THENCE northerly along the east line of the S. Michaelis Survey to
its intersection with the south line of the T. & P. Railroad Co. Survey.
THENCE easterly along the south line of the T. & P. Railroad Co.
Survey to the southeast corner of the T. & P. Railroad Co. Survey.
THENCE southerly along the east line of the T. & P. Railroad Co.
Survey produced southerly to its intersection with the south right-of-way
line of County Road No. 1002.
THENCE easterly along the south right-of-way line of County Road
No. 1002 to a point 600.05 feet west of the west right-of-way line of
County Road No. 1035, said point being the northwest corner of Lot A,
Block 86, South Hills Addition.
THENCE south 0 degrees, 06 minutes, east along the west line of
Lot A, Block 86, South Hills Addition, a distance of 466.07 feet to the
southwest corner of Lot A, Block 86, South Hills Addition.
THENCE north 69 degrees, 54 minutes east along the south line of
Lot A, Block 86, South Hills Addition to the place of beginning and
containing approximately 2.09 square miles.
Section 2.
If any section, subsection or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid
or unconstitutional by a court of competent Jurisdiction, the portion so held to be
invalid or unconstitutional shall not affect any other part of the ordinance, which
shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 3s
This ordinance, after it has been duly passed, shall be entered as an order on
the minutes and permanent records of the City of Fort Worth, from and after the date
of its entry, the territory hereinbefore described shall cease to be a part of the
City of Fart Worth.
Section 4.
That this Ordinance shall become effective and shall be in Hill force and
effect from and after its passage, and it is so ordained.

City of Fort Worth South Hills Addition,, Owned by
Fort Worth Independent School
Mrs. McKnight and Gentlemen: District
A request has been received from the Fart Forth tndenendent School
District that Lot A, Block 86, South 11ills Addition be annexed to the
City of Fort worth. The Shoal Board exTiects to have approximately
4S0 students enrolled at this location in Septenb er, 1962, and utilities
are needed to serve the tract.
This request hn s been reviewed by the Planning Department, and a report
is attached. It is recommended that ordinances be adopted annexing this
6.47 acre tract [flit of the J. N1, B. Smith Survey. .
