AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THAT PORTION OF WENDEL
DRIVE, FROM THE SOUTHEAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF
WHEATON DRIVE, SOUTHEAST, TO THE SOUTHEAST LINE OF
BLOCK 127, WEDGWOO D ADDITION BE VACATED, ABANDONED
AND CLOSED; PROVIDNG FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE
IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL
BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That that portion of Wendel Drive, from the southeast
right-of-way line of Wheaton Drive, southeast, to the south-
east line of Block 127, Wedgwood Addition be and the same is
hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street
or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in said street is hereby released
and will revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law, save
and except that an easement is reserved for any and all existing
utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage.

The Essex Company, owner of all adjoining property, has requested abandonment
of Wendel Drive, from the southeast right-of-way line of Wheaton Drive, south-
east, to the southeast line of Block 127, Wedgwood Addition, as shown on the
attached map. Abandonment of the unopened street will permit replatting of the
existing subdivision.
Private utility companies} Public Works, Water, Traffic Engineering and Planning
Departments have reviewed the request and do not object to the abandonment.
.The City Plan Commission has reviewed the request of the Essex Company, and
recommends adoption of the ordinance that has been prepared abandoning the
easement as requested.
