AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE SPECIFICATIONS FILE
BY THE PUBLIC WDFR S DIRECTOR FOR THE IMPROV@MENT
OF VARIOUS STREETS AT SIX LOCATIONS IN THE CITY
OF FORT NORTH, TEXAS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That the Public Works Director having on the 31st day of July,
1957, filed with the City Council complete Specifications for the improvement
of South Grove Street, from the southerly line of Morningside Drive to the
northerly line of Bowie Street, known and designated as Unit No. 1; Drew Street,
from the easterly line of South Main Street to the westerly line of Bryan Street,
known and designated as Unit No. 2; Saint Louis Avenue, from the southerly line
of Butler Street to the northerly line of Dickson Street, known and designated
as Unit No. 3; May Street, from the southerly line of Ripy Street to the northerly
line of Butler Street, known and designated as Unit No. 4; May Street, from the
southerly line of Butler Street to the northerly line of Dickson Street., known
and designated as Unit No. 5; Gordon Avenue, from the southerly line of Bowie
Street to the northerly line of Berry Street, known and designated as Unit No. 6;
the same be and are hereby approved as the Specifications under which said work
shall be done.
Section 2.
That the City Secretary is hereby directed to advertise for Bids for
the construction of the said improvements in accordance with the said Specifications,
which advertisement shall be inserted one or more times in the Fort Worth Star
Telegram, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Fort Worth, and shall
call for sealed Bids for the said work, to be filed with the City Council on or
before the 20th day of August, 1957, at 10:00 A.M. upon which date shall be opened
and read as prescribed by the City Charter. That the first publication of said
advertisement shall be not less than ten (10) days before the date herein set for
opening of Bids.
Section 3.
That this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.
