AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE SPECIFICATIONS FILED BY THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR THE IMPROVE- MT OF A PORTION OF BLEDSOE STREET IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: Section 1. That the Director of Public Works having on the day of July, 1950, filed with the City Council complete Specifications for the improvement of Bledsoe Street, from the easterly line of University Drive to the westerly line of Norwood Street, the same be and are hereby approved as the Specifications under which said work shall be done. Section 2. That the City Secretary is hereby directed to advertise for Bids for the construction of the said improvements in accordance with the said Specifications, which advertisement shall be inserted one or more times in the Fort North Star Telegram, a newspaper of general circula- tion in the City of Fort Worth, and shall call for sealed Bids for the said work, to be filed with the City Council on or before the 17th day of August, 1950, at 10:00 o'clock A.M. upon which date shall be opened and read as prescribed by the City Charter. That the first publication of said advertisement shall be not less than ten (10) days before the date herein set for opening of Bide. Section 3. Jones Re: Bledsoe Street ` City Manager Paving Building Dear Sir: In connection with the proposed paving of a portion of Bledsoe Street, we are submitting herewith the follow- ing data: 1. Plans & Specifications of the proposed paving 2. Report of the Director of Pablic Works 3. Ordinance approving the Specifications submitt- ed by the Director of Pablic Works Estimates of cost and recommendation for the improve- ments were transmitted June 20th, 1950. Summary of costs are as follows: 1. Property Owners $9,108.00 2. City 832.00 Total Cost $9,94o.oo This Project was approved by the City Council in session July 12, 1950, on an Assessment basis. Ordinance No. 2780 determining necessity for and order- ing the improvement was passed by the City Council in ses- sion July 12, 1950. If the attached Ordinance is approved by the Council Wed- nesday, July 26th, 1950, the Project can be advertised Fri- clay, July 28th, 1950, and Bids received Thursday, August 17th, 1950.
