Dear Sir:
We have examined the attached petition requesting the closing
of South Main Street from the north line of Cantey Street to
the easterly riiftt-of-way line of the M.S. & T, Railroad. This
part of Mouth Main Street has never been opened on the ground
and can never be opened to Capps Street or Morningside Drive
due to the Underpass under the M. K. & T. Railroad. This is
industrial property. Our recomeendation is that this request
be granted.
?ours very truly.

TO THE HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL,
CITY OF FORT WORTH:
GIlVTI ' T:
C. W. Scott , Sam P.Hamer and W. E. B.orgerff, peti-
tion you to vacate that portion of South Main Street that ad-
joins and is adjacent on the West to what is designated as Block
2 of South Park Heights Addition to the City of Fort Worth, be-
ing that portion of what on said plat is designated as South
Main Street that is located between Cantey Street and Capps
Street. In this connection petitioners state that they are the
owners of what is designated as Block 2, South Park Heights Ad-
dition to the City of Fort Worth, That that part of said street
which they seek to have vacated is of irregular shape , less than
a block in length, and is not now used and has never been used
for street purposes and is not suitable for street purposes.
It is merely a dead end of what was designated on the plat of
South Park Heights Addition to Fort Worth as a street. That
the public will be in no wise inconvenienced by vacating the
small portion of said street above described. Scott and Hamer
have purchased what is designated as Lots 1 and 2, Block 12
South Park Heights Addition to Fort Worth.
RESPECTFULLY,
ORDINANCE
