SUBJECT
Adopt Appropriation Ordinance Increasing Appropriations in the PARD Dedication Fees Fund in the Amount of$300,000.00 for the Design and
Development of Reby Cary Park(COUNCIL DISTRICT 8)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the
PARD Dedication Fees Fund in the amount of$300,000.00 from available funds for the design and develpment of Reby Cary Park.
DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this M&C is to appropriate Neighborhood and Community Park Dedication(N&C PDP)fees for the design and development of
Reby Cary Park.
The Park&Recreation Department has agreed to use$300,000.00 of the N&C PDP fee funding for the development of a neighborhood park
adjacent to the Reby Cary Youth Library. This funding will be used for management, design, construction, and inspection of the park improvements.
Improvements may include, but are not limited to,a small playground,a set of swings,a picnic shelter, site furnishings and connecting the
walkways.
Use of N&C PDP fees was determined to be consistent with the stated purpose of the Neighborhood and Community Park Dedication Policy,
which is the"provision of adequate park and recreational areas with needed facilities."(M&C G-14225R and M&C G-19470).
A Form 1295 is not required for this contract because:This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that upon approval of the above recommendation and adoption of the attached Appropriation Ordinance, funds
will be available in the current capital budget,as appropriated,in the Reby Cary Park Project of the PARD Dedication Fees Fund.
