HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 1884 ORDINANCE NO.�p'► AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT PORTIONS OF CERTAIN STREETS IN HUBBARD HIGM ANDS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRA14T COUNTY, TEXAS, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED, AND EXCEPTING THE RIGHTS OF ALL PUBLIC UTILITIES HERETO- FORE ACQUIRED IN SAID PORTIONS OF SAID STREETS, AND PROV IDWQ FOR TLC RZVMS-I9N GF 'I.it: ti`" 1K SAM AA", AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IM&DIATELY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION I. That in order to promote and protect the public safety, and particularly the safety of public school pupils and teachers attending the school or schools to be established by the Fort Worth Independent School District on a school site which it has acquired in Hubbard Highlands Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, the following de- scribed portions of certain streets in said Hubbard Highlands Addition shall be and are hereby vacated, abandoned and closed, to wit: Broadus Avenue from James Street to Sixth Avenue. Ryan Avenue from Beddell Street to Seminary Street. Seminary Street from James Street to Sixth Avenue. SECTION II. That the rights of all public utilities for the purpose of con- structing and maintaining service lines shall not be disturbed, destroyed, revoked, or abrogated by any of the provisions of this ordinance, but said rights as above set out shall remain in full force and effect. ,SECTION III. SlI tf€ es, ea&Mnents and rights of the City of Fort Worth in and to the above described portions of streets shall be and are hereby released and surrendered to the respective owners of the lots abutting thereon. SECTION IV. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION Y. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage.
