HomeMy WebLinkAboutIR 9330INFORMAL REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS Erce-A To the Mayor and Members of the City Council No.9330 November 16, 2010 Page 1 of 1 SUBJECT: PROPOSED COUNCIL - INITIATED ZONING CHANGE FOR 8500 RAY WHITE ROAD The December 7 City Council agenda will contain an M &C to initiate the zoning process for 8500 Ray White Road. The purpose of the proposed zoning change is to rezone vacant land to zoning classifications that are consistent with the 2010 Comprehensive Plan. For your reference, the attached PowerPoint presentation shows the future land use from the 2010 Comprehensive Plan, the current zoning, and the proposed zoning. Councilmember Espino mailed a letter to the affected property owner regarding the proposed zoning change in March 2010. The property owner responded earlier this fall that they have no opposition to the rezoning. The public hearings for the rezoning of these properties would be held on January 12, 2011, at the Zoning Commission meeting and at the City Council meeting of February 1, 2011.
