below:

Street Limits Width-Feet Width-Feet
Mapleleaf N.E. 35th Street 40 80

Initiation of Project
This project was initiated by a paving petition in June, 1975, signed by
the owner of 50 percent of the adjacent property in conjunction with a
major plant expansion.
This project was designed, advertised, bid received and a construction con-
tract awarded on October 20, 1975 (M&C C-3230). However, at the benefit
hearing on November 17, 1975 (M&C G-2880) , the project was disapproved as a
result of a complaint by one of the thxee property owners (a widow) , who
has since sold her property. There are now only two property owners
involved.
On June 7, 1976, a representative of Ray Steel Company appeared before the
City Council and requested the project be reinitiated. The request was
granted and the project was readvertised on June 15, 1976
Improvements
The above portion of Mapleleaf Street will be improved by construction of
industrial grade concrete pavement with superimposed concrete curb and con-
crete driveway approaches in the existing right-of-Way.
