HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 7084 ORDINANCE NO. /O� AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE NORTH-SOUTH ALLEY IN BLOCK 144, NORTH FORT WORTH ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM N. W. 20TH STREET NORTH TO N. W. 21ST STREET, BE ABANDONED, VACATED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the north-south alley in Block 144, North Fort Worth Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, abutting Lots 1 through 22 and extending from N. W. 20th Street north to N. W. 21st Street, be and the same is hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever. SECTION 2. That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said alley is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owners of the fee as provided by law, save and except that easements are reserved for any and all existing utilities. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. W. 20th Street north to N. W. 21st Street. Subject alley, acquired by dedication, is open, partially paved, and contains sewer, gas, electric WALLS and telephone facilities. Subject alley is shown on the attached map. HIMES The reviewing City departments and private utility companies have reviewed PAIr - this request and have no objections provided the vacated right-of-way is !� - retained as a utility easement and no cross-fencing, except at street pro- perty lines, is permitted.
