AN ORDINANCE SETTING FORTH AN ITEbUM ESTIMATE OF
THE PD;PPNSE OF CONDUCTING EACH DEPARTMENT DMSION
AND OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERN MiT OF THE CITY
OF FORT WORTH FOR TEE ENSUING FISCAL YEAR AND APPRO-
PRIATING MONEY FOR THE VARIOUS FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF
SUCH ESTIMATE, AND PROPIDING FOR PUMC HEARINGS UPON
THIS ORDINANCE BEFORE THE M,1TIRE CITY COUNCIL SITTING
AS A 0=11TTEE OF THE WBOLB,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH:
SECTION I.
That the appropriations for the ensuing fiscal year beginning
October 1, 1930, and ending September 30, 1931, for the different de-
partmeats and purposes of the City of Fort Worth be fixed and determined
as follows:

The Water Works Department sball be provided with such re-
venue as may be secured from the vale of water and other sources, as
provided by other ordinances heretofore pealed.
II PARKS
The Department of Public Perks shall be proridsd with funds
realized from a tax levy of 9¢ on each $100900 of assessed value of all
real and personal property in the City, not exempt from taxation by law.
III REf!RF;ATION
The Department of Public Recreation shall be provided with
funds realized from a tax levy of 4 on each $100.00 of assessed value
of all real and peraonal prcpsrty in the City, not exempt from taxation
by law.

That the distribution and division of the above named
appropriations be made in accordance with the budget of expenditures
submitted by the City Manager and as revised by the City Council in
accordance with the provisions of the City Curter and adopted by the
City Council and which budget is made a part of this ordinance by re-
ference thereto and shall be considered in connection with the eapendi-
tares of the above appropriations•
SECTION III �'
That the City Council of the City of Fort Worth shall sit an
a committee of the whole in the Council Chamber at the City Hall in the
City of Fort Worth on Wednesday, the day of September, A. D. 1936,
at 9:30 o'clock le M. to hear any eomplaints, suggestions or observations
that any citizen, taxpayer or party interested may desire to make with
reference to any or all the provisions of this ordinance, and such com-
mittee shall continue its deliberations until the public has beet given
a full opportunity to be heard*
SECTION TV,
That following the public hearings for which prevision has been
made in the preceding section, this ordinance shall be published in the
official newspaper of the City of Fort Worth and which newspaper is one
of general circulation in said City, together with a separate schedule
setting forth the items in the eatimste of the City Manager, which were
omitted or changed by the City Council, and the reason for such emission
or change, as required by the Charter of said City*
SECTION Y
That this ordinance shall not be presented for final passage
until ten full days have elapsed after its publication; as provided by
the Charter of said. City.
SECTION VI
Should any part, portion, section or part of a section of this
ordinance be declared invalid or inoperative or void for any reason by a
court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion ar Judgment shall
in no way stfeet the remaining portions, parts, sections or par is of sec-
tions of this ordinance, which provisions shall be, remain and continue
to be in full force and effect*
SECTION PII
That this ordinance shall talm effect and be in full force
and effect fran and after the date of its passage and publication as
required by the Charter of the City of Fort Worth.

SEPARATE SMMDULE.
The item in the Manager's budget which was
changed by the City Council is as follows:
I. GENERAL ADMINISTRATION.
SECTION T.
An appropriation of $10,000.00 was made avail—
able to the Department of Public Utilities to be used in
investigations of rates charged by various public utilities
in the City of Port Worth in the event the City Council
deems it necessary to make such investigations during the
ensuing fiscal year.
I, I.L.Van Zandt,Jr. , City Seoretary—Treasurer,
of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, do hereby certify that
the above and foregoing change was made in the City Mana-
ger's budget at a public hearing on September 10, 1930 on
the appropriation Ordinance at which hearing the Ctyty
Council resolved itself into a committee of the whole
Council for the purpose of said hearing.

SEPARATE SCHEDULE.
The item in the City Manager's budget which
was changed by the City Council is as follows:
I. CIVIL SERVICE.
SECTION II.
An appropriation of $500.00 was made available
to the Civil Service Board to be used by said Board as an
additional amount to be added to the appropriation hereto-
fore made for said department as it appears to the City
Council, after further investigation, that the requirements
of that department will make this additional amount necessary
during ensuing fiscal year.

of the City of Fort Worth, do hereby certify that the above
and foregoing change was made in the City Manager's Budget
at a meeting of the City Council on September 24, 1930, said
change being made prior to the adoption of Ordinance No.1695.
