An ordinance providing for the enlargement of the electric
light plant owned and operated by the Cite of Fort Forth, and
for the purchase of the engines, machinery, apparatus, apnl�ranc` ,
matterial., ir. ^rrl'-'n`a�nt therefor, and the labor in the consti'qac-
tion, installation and equipment of same, and providin„ the
creation of the indebtedness incurred and to be incurred in such
enlRr ;ement and -'cr the r3xacution of the obligations necessar for
defraying the expenses of such enlargement and providing thQ funds
therefor.

FORT WORTH:-
Section l: Tha.t the electric light plant nov; owned and oper-
ted by the Cite of Fort Worth be enlr;rged and the capacity in-

reased in such way and manner as to provide for not less than
four hundred(400) additional arc lights so as better to i11}1711:1e
the streets, thoroughfares and public places of said City.
Section 2: That the sum of Sixty-Two Thousand Six Fundred
and Five & 45/100($62,605.45) Dollars be and the same -is hereby
set apart in the budget for the incoming fiscal year for the ru:
?poses set forth in Section 1 hereof,and i.-n the adoption of said
general budget cognizance shall be taken of the provisions of
this ordinance,and the sum of money hereinbefore specified shall.
be set out in said budget and be set apart and desiSnated for
the purposes herein.
Section 3: That when this ordinance shall have taken effect
he Board of Commissioners of the City of Fort Worth shall immed-
iately, or as soon thereafter as pructiowble, purchase, obtain and
procure for the purposes liereinbe fore re^,ite(l, the engi;ies, machin-
ery, apparatus, equipment, material and appliances) and provide for
the delivery of same to the City of Fort Torth,and upon the deliv-
er-y of same shall be authorized and empowered to hire and employ
the labor and skill requisite and proper foi assembling , oetting

so as to make same efficient and effective ,for the purposes for
which same are to be purchased and so as to distribute electric
lights over the said City of Fort Worth in such places as in the
wisdom and discretion of the Board of Commiss_one rs magi se:�m nee s-

Sec. 4. The Ro-ird of Commissioner of the City' of Fort

purchase price of the engines, ma.ibhinery, apparatus, equipmeat, m-ati;r-
ial and appliances; such obligations to date from the accrual of
the indebtedness and to run for such time 4s may be necessary
to enable said r_°.ty to collect, its t;+txes'for the ye-ir 1909 and
thereby liquidate all. of said indebtedness and any intert.st that
may accrue thereon.
^ec. 5. This ordinance shall bike' e7fect and be in force
from and aeter its passage and public-tt ion -is rrescr ibed bar law,
provided, however, that same shall, in all r-sperts, be Subject to
the r t,,ferendum provision in the Charter of the rit�r of -*ort 7.1ort'1
