This premier equestrian and event facility is home of the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, Triple Crown of Cutting, American Paint Horse World Championship show, Hunter's Extravaganza as well as numerous other exciting events including concerts, dance recitals, banquets, expositions, etc. In Fiscal Year 2009, over 2 million visitors attended events at the facilities. Commissions from sales at concession stands and for catered meals at the complex in FY2009 resulted in revenue to the City of $534,959.00. On August 31, 2010, the contract for Exclusive Concession and Alcoholic Beverage Service at the Will Rogers Memorial Center with Aramark Sports & Entertainment Services of Texas, Inc. ( Aramark) will expire. Aramark has notified the City that they will not exercise their option to extend the contract. Aramark has agreed to hold over for three (3) months under the same terms and conditions to permit the City an opportunity to obtain a replacement provider. A Request for Proposals (RFP) for Food, Beverage and Alcoholic Beverage Services and Related Concession and Catering Operations at the Will Rogers Memorial Center was developed to obtain a new provider. The RFP was issued in August with an award anticipated in November 2010. This business model will mirror the Fort Worth Convention Center model whereby one operator will have exclusive services for all aspects of food and beverage service, including catering which has resulted in an improved guest experience and a significant increase in revenue to the City. The successful operator will have the exclusive right to provide clients and exhibitors a full range of food, beverage and alcoholic beverage services and related concession and catering services. The exclusive rights will exclude the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. Facility users with executed agreements that permit open catering will be honored. The City received four proposals from interested firms. A diverse evaluation panel will evaluate the proposals based upon the best value to the City.
