ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE
BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN
SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF
SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER;
AMENDING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND SPECIFYING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of
Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made
an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in
Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEING a tract of land about 9 miles south from the Court House
of Tarrant County, Texas, and being in and including all or part of
the J. Jennings, Moselle, E. B. Dickinson, J. Wilcox, T. 0. Moody,
C. Martin, and S. A. & M. G. R.R. Co. Surveys and being more fully
described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the present city limit line of the City
of Fort Worth in the westerly right-of-way line of the G. C. & S. F.
R.R. 2500 feet south from the south right-of-way line of County Road
No. 1059;
THENCE south along the westerly right-of-way line of the G. C. &
S. F. R.R. to its intersection with the present city limit line of
the City of Fort Worth, the north right-of-way line of County Road
No. 1075;
THENCE east along the present city limit line of the City of
Fort Worth, the north right-of-way line of County Road No. 1075, to
its intersection with the west right-of-way line of State Fannto-Market
Road No. 731;
THENCE northerly along the present city limit line of the City of
Fort Worth, the westerly right-of-way line of State Farm to Market
Road No. 731, to a point 2500 feet south from the south right-of-way
line of County Road No. 1059;
THENCE west along the present city limit line of the City of
Fort Worth, parallel to and 2500 feet south from the south right-of-
way line of County Road No. 1059 to the place of beginning and
containing approximately .030 square miles.
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in
conflict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends
Ordinance Nos. 4827 and 4825, heretofore adopted and passed on July 15, 1963,
but as to all other ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict
herewith, this ordinance shall be and is hereby made cumulative.

Section 3.
That this ordinance shall be published-one time in a daily newspaper published
in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter
XXVIII of the City Charter.
Section 4.
If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordinance
is for any reason held void or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections., subsections,
clauses, sentences, phrases or words, except as the same are inseparable from and
indispensable to the remaining portions of the ordinance.
Section 5.
That this ordinance shall become.effective and be in full force and effect upon
Its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the
date of its publications, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
