HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 4485 ORDINANCE NO. .7 OFFICIAL RECORD CITY SECRETARY AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE ALLEY IN BLOCK FT. WORTH, TEX. 23, JENNINGS WEST ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE ABANDONED, VA- CATED AND CLOSED; AND PROVIDING FOR THE REM- SION OF THE FEE TO SAID LAND. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the 32.5 foot east-west alley in Block 23, Jennings West Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, lying between Texas Street and loth Street and extending from Collier to Lake Streets, be and the same is hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in said alley above described is hereby released and will revert to the owners as provided by law, save and except that easements are reserved for any and all existing utilities, including a ten foot easement for an existing sanita y sewer gain, said easement measuring five feet on each side of the center line of the existing main, and a five foot easement for an existing Southwestern Bell Telephone Com- pany transmission line, which is parallel and adjacent to the north line of said alley. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. The alley requested to be closed is described as follows: The 32.5' East-West alley in Block 23, Jennings West Addition lying between Texas Street and 10th Street and extending from C+ellier to Lake Streets, SAVE AND EXCEPT easements be reserved for any and all existing utilities including a 10' easement for existing sani- tnry se*vr main; said easement measures 5' on each side of the center line of the existing main, and a 5' easement for the Southwestern Bell Tole-phone's transmission line, being 5' wide, parallel and ado jacent to the north line of said alley.
