AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING TERRITORY FROM WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMCTS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PRESCRIB- ING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the hereinafter described prop- erty constitutes a contiguous , unimproved tract of land of more than three (3) acres located within the corporate limits and adjoining the lines of the City of Fort Worth; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORMINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH: Section 1. That the following described.territory within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Worth is hereby.discontinued as a part of the City of Fort Worth, and said tract of land is described by metes and bounds as follows, to-wit: BEGINNING at a point in the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line, in the north line of U. S. High- way No. 80 (Fast), 200 feet east from the east line of Cook Lane; THENCE northerly, parallel to and 200 feet from the east line of Cook Lane to the south line of MeadOwbrook Drive; THENCE east along the south line pf Meadowbrook Drive to the west line of the S. C. Culver Survey; THENCE south along the west line of the S. C. Culver Survey to its southwest corner in the north line of the R. R. Ramey Survey; THENCE east along the north line of the R. R. Ramey Survey to its northeast corner; THENCE south along the east line of the R. R. Ramey Survey to its intersection with the middle of Village Creek; THENCE southwesterly up the middle of Village Creek, with its meanders, to its intersection with the north line of U. S. Highway No. 80 (East); THENCE westerly along the north line of U. S. Highway No. 80 (East) to the place of beginning, and containing approximately 5/10 of one square mile. Section 2. If any section, subsection or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent ,jurisdiction, the portion so held to be invalid or unconstitutional shall not affect any other part of the ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect. Section 3. This ordinance, after it has been duly passed, shall be entered as an order on the Minutes and permanent records of the City of Fort Worth, from and after the date of its entry, the territory hereinbefore described shall cease to be a part of the City of Fort Worth. Section 4. That this ordinance shall become effective and shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, and it is so ordained.
