All adjacent property owners were notified of the hearing by certified mail on July 15, 1977. Project Description Roadway R.O.W. Street Limits Width-Feet Width-Feet Ederville Road Brentwood Stair Road to 36 75 Menzer Street Menzer Street Ederville Road to Holt 36 60 Street Origin of Project This project was initiated in conjunction with Community Facilities Contract No. 9086, as approved by M&C C-3626, dated December 27, 1976. Both streets border Blocks 16 and 17, Oakland Park Estates, which are being developed. Improvements Ederville Road is an existing old county road which was never constructed to City standards and Menzer Street is an unimproved dedicated roadway, not open to traffic. Both streets will be improved with six-inch thick hot-mix asphaltic concrete pavement, with concrete curb, gutter and driveway approaches. Also included is 250 feet of storm drain pipe and appurtenances. Enhancement of Abutting Property Based on previous appraisals of like property in or adjacent to new develop- ments, the improved access afforded by the new street, and improved drainage facilities in the area, it is the opinion of the Public Works Department that each parcel of abutting property is benefitted in an amount equal to or in excess of the amount recommended for assessment. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted closing the benefit hearing and levying the assessments as proposed.
