KIMBRO Initiation of Project
The 1973/75 Capital Improvement Program (Page A-25) provides for the construc-
tion of a collector street to connect James Avenue and Hemphill Street by util-
izing the general alignment of Fuller Street. This project is needed because of
the lack of an adequate collector street south of Seminary Drive. The need for
this facility has increased because of recent development at the South Freeway
and Felix Street. The completion of this project will provide an improved
collector street from James Avenue to the South Freeway and east to Loop 820.
Improvements
The above portion of Fuller Street will be improved by resurfacing the existing
street from James Avenue to Fifth Avenue and by construction of new collector
grade hot-mix asphaltic concrete pavement with concrete curb and gutter, con-
crete driveway approaches and required storm drain facilities from Fifth Avenue
to Hemphill Street.
