AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION ONE (I) OF ORDINANCE NO.
b47, REGULATING THE OPERATION OF MOTOR BUSES AS THE SAME
ARE DEFINED BY THE PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCES No.448 AND
470: PROHIBITING THE OPERATION OF MOTOR BUSES AS DEFINED
IN SAID ORDINANOES, AND ANY AUTOMOBILE, AUTOMOBILE TRUCK
OR TRACKLESS MOTOR VEHICLE ENGAGED IN THE BUSINESS OF CAR-
RYING PASSENGERS FOR HIRE, WHICH IS HELD OU! OR ANNOUNCED
BY SIGN, VOICE, WRITING, DEVICE OR ADPERTISMINT TO OPT
TOR RUN, OR WHICH IS INTENDED TO BE OPERATED OR RUN 'OVER
ANY PARTICULAR STREET OR ROUTE OR FROM ANY PARTICULAR OR
DESIGNATED POINT. WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
PORT WORTH, TO ANY REGULAR OR DESIGNATED POINT, TERRITORY,
DISTRICT, ZONE, TOWN OR VILLAGE, OUTSIDE OF THE LIMITS OF
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, OR FROM ANY PARTICULAR OR DESIGNAT-
ED TERRITORY. DISTRICT, ZONE, TOWN OR VILLAGE OUTSIDE OF
THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH TO ANY PARTICULAR OR
DESIGNATED POINT, STREET, TERRITORY, DISTRICT OR ZONE WITH-
IN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, ON OR ALONG
OERTAIN STREETS OR PORTIONS OF STREETS OF SAID CITY, FIXING
A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF ANY PROVISIONS HEREOF,MAKING
EACH DAYS VIOLATION A SEPARATE OFFENSE, DECLARING AN EMM-
GENCY AND THE REASON FOR THE REGULATIONS PRESCRIBED, PROVID-
ING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE OULMINATIVE OF ORDINANCES
NO.$$ 444, 470 AND 647, AND SHALL NOT REPEAL THE SAME EXCEPT
WHERE IN DIRECT CONFLICT, AND PROVIDING THAT THE HOLDING OF
ANY PORTION HEREOF TO BE INVALID SHALL NOT AFFECT THE VALID-
ITY OF ANY OTHER PROVISION OR PORTION.
BE IT ORAINBD BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH.
SECTION 1,
It shall hereafter be unlawful for any person or persons, firm,
corporation, association, partnership or society, to run or operate or
cause to be run or operated. any motor bus (as such vehicle is defined in
Ordinances 448 and 470 hersinbefore passed by the Board of Commissioners
of the City of Fort Worth), or any automobile, automobile truck or trackless
motor vehicle, engaged in the business of carrying passengers for hire, which
is held out or smiounced by sign, voice, writtng, device or advertiament, to
operate or tun, an which is intended to be operated or run, over any particular
street or route, or from any particular designated point, within the City lim-
its of the City of Fort Worth, to any particular or designated point, territory
district, zone, town or village our side of the city limits of the Eity of Port
Worth or from any particular or designated territory, district, zone, town or
village outside of the city limits of the City of Fort Worth, to any particular
or designated point, street, territory, district or zone within the city limits
of the City of Fort Worth, on or along any of the following streets or portions
of streets within the City of PortWorth, visa
$2- Ordinance No.586.
(a) Seventh Street from its intersection with Commerce
Street westward to the City limits.
(b) Main Street between Front Street and Weatherford
Street.
(c) Houston Street between Front Street and Weatherford
Street (except as hereinafter provided.)
(d) Any street intersecting Bain or Houston Street,
i (except Second and Fifteenth Streets under the regulations
hereinbefore provided in Ordinance No.547.) between
and including Weatherford and Front Streets from
Throckmorton Street to Commerce Street, provided however,
that motor buses new being operated, or which may hereafter
be granted license to be operated over any street, alley
or public place in the City of port Worth, may be allowed
to designate and be granted a license to operate over such
of Houston Street as lies between Fifteenth Street and its
intersection with Main Street, or along or over Fifteenth
Street between Commerce and Throctmorton Streets.
SECTION 11.
Each and very days violation of this Ordinance shall constitute
a separate offense.
SECTION III.
Any person who shall violate any provisions of this Ordinance shall
be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a
fine not exceeding Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars.
SECTION 17.
The present crowded and conjested condition of the traffic on the
streets and portions of streets hereinbefore mentioned, and the constantly in-
creasing number of automobiles and other vehicles using said streets, and portions
of streets, hereinbefore named, creates a dangerous condition and menance to life
and property thereby making it iageratively necessary to adopt and enforce the
regulations herein proscribed, and this ordinance is, and is hereby declared to be
an urgency measure necessary in the ordinary course of the City's affairs, and a
ttf measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and
safety of the citizens of the City of Dort Worth, and shall be in force and
effect from and after its passage and five days publication, as required by law.
SECTION V.
The holding or adjudication of any section or subdivision of any
section, or any subdivision of a section of this ordinance to be invalid, shall
not effect the validity of any other section of this ordinance, or part of a
subdivision of a section thereof, but all other sections. subdivisions of sec-

tions and parts of subdivisions of sections, shall be and remain in force and
effect.
SECTION VI.
This ordinance is hereby declared to be culminative of all of
the provisions of Ordinance No.448, and Ordinance 475. and Ordinance No.547.
regulating the operation of motor busses upon and along the streets of tort
Wofth. and shall not be held to repeal any of the provisions of any of said
ordinance, except in those cases where they are in direct conflict with the
express provisions of this ordinance, provided that no provisions or portion
of this ordinance which may be held invalid shall, any any event, operate to
repeal any provision or portion of any of the ordinances aforesaid.
