ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3103, WHICH
ORDINANCE REGULATES THE RATES AND CHARGES MADE BY
ALL PERSONS, CORPORATIONS OR ASSOCIATIONS OR PERSONS
ENGAGED IN THE BUSINESS OF FURNISHING, DISTRIBUTING
OR DELIVERING NATURAL GAS TO DOMESTIC OR COMMERCIAL
CONSUMERS BY PROVIDING NEW AND ADDITIONAL SCHEDULES
RELATING TO GAS SERVICE FOR AIR CONDITIONING, PRE-
SCRIBING A PENALTY AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That all persons, firms, corporations or associations of persons en-
gaged in the business of furnishing, distributing or delivering natural gas
to domestic and commercial consumers in the City of Fort Worth may charge
for such service, during the periods of time and from the dates hereinafter
set out, in accordance with the following schedules:
(a) For all natural gas consumed by residential customers using
natural gas for air conditioning in excess of 8,000 cubic feet
per dwelling unit for each meter reading period between the meter
reading dates in May (except that for the year 1956 the beginning
dates shall be the first meter reading dates after the effective
date of this Ordinance) and October of each year, $.05333 gross
per 100 cubic feet and $.048 net per 100 cubic feet for payment
of bill within ten days from the date of monthly billing.
(b) For natural gas consumed by commercial customers for air
conditioning during each meter reading period between the meter
reading dates in May (except that for the year 1956 the effective
beginning dates shall be the first meter reading dates after the
effective date of this Ordinance and after the installation of
deduct meters necessary to register such gas) and October of each
year, $•05333 gross per 100 cubic feet and $.048 net per 100 cubic
feet for payment of bill within ten days from the date of monthly
billing.
SECTION 2.
That, except as hereinabove amended, Ordinance No. 3103 of the City
of Fort Worth shall remain in Rill force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That any person, firm or corporation who refuses to comply with the
terms and provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,
and, upon conviction, may be fined not to exceed Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars,
and each days violation shall constitute a separate offense.
SECTION 4.
That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage and publication as required by law.
