AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LILITS AND ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYIN3 ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NE95PAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS CF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; AMENDING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND SPECIFYING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY TIM CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: Section 1. That the hereinafter described territ wy lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fart 'North, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: BEING a tract of land about 11 miles south of the Courthouse of Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in and including all or part of the Joseph Martin, Sarah Gray, John Steele, William Stone, Moselle, Henry Lane, E. H. Hamilton, H. Walker, J. E. Phillips, S. A. & M. G. RR Co., John Sise, G. Hamilton, I. & G. H. RR Co., J. Jennings, H. Alsbury, C. Martin, R. 17. Waggoner, S. Herrera, and H. G. Catlett No. S-157 Surveys in Tarrant and Johnson Counties, Texas and being more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, in the south right-of-way line of County Road No. 1078, said point being 500 feet west of the center line of U. S. highway No. 81 (I-35W); THENCE southerly along a line 500 feet west of and parallel to the center line of U. S. Highway No. 81 to a point 50 feet north of the south line of Tarrant County, Texas; THENCE west alorg the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth 50 feet north of and parallel to the south line of Tarrant County, Texas, to a point 50 feet east of the northeasterly line of the H. G. Catlett Survey No. S-151; THENCE northwesterly along the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, 50 feet northeast of and parallel to the northeasterly line of the H. G. Catlett Survey No. 5-151, the present city limit line and of Burleson, to a point 50 feet northeast of the northeasterly line of the FI. G. Catlett Survey No. S-151 produced northwesterly; THENCE southwesterly along the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth 50 feet northwest of and parallel to the northwesterly line of the H. G. Catlett Survey No. 5-151 produced northeasterly and 50 feet northwest of and parallel to the northwesterly line of said survey, the present city limit line of the city of Burleson, to a point 50 feet north of the south line of Tarrant County, Texas; THENCE west along the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth 50 feet north of and parallel to the south line of Tarrant County, Texas and the present city limit line of the City of Burleson to its intersection with the westerly right-of-way line of the western route of County Road No. 1017; THENCE southwesterly along the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth the northwesterly right-of-way line of said road to a point 50 feet northwest of its intersection with the northwesterly line of the H. G. Catlett Survey No. S-151; THENCE continuing southwesterly along the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth 50 feet northwest of and parallel to the northwesterly line of the H. G. Catlett Survey No. S-151 and 50 feet northwest of and parallel to said survey line produced southwesterly to a point 50 feet southwest of the northeast line of the H. G. Catlett Survey No. S-157; THMCE southeasterly along the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth 50 feet southwest of and parallel to the northeasterly line of the H. G. Catlett Survey No. S-157, to a point 50 feet northwest of the southeast line of the h. 0. Catlett Survey No. 5-157; THENCE southwesterly along the present city limit line of the City of Fart Worth 50 feet northwest of and parallel to the southeast line of the H. G. Catlett Survey No. S-157, to a point 50 feet northeast of its south- west line; THENCE northwesterly along the present city limit line of the City of Fort north 50 feet northeast of and parallel to the southwest line of the H. G. Catlett Survey No. S-157, to its intersection with the east right-of-way line of the G. C. & S. F. RR Co.; THENCE northeasterly along the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, along the east right-of-way line of the G. C. & S. F. RR Co. to a point 50 feet south of the south line of Tarrant County, Texas; THENCE easterly, northwesterly, northeasterly, northwesterly, northeasterly, northwesterly, northerly, easterly, northly, westerly, northerly and westerly along the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth 50 feet to the south, northeast, southwest, northeast, southwest, northeast, east, south, east, north, east, and north of and parallel to the present city limit line of the City of Crowley to its intersection with the east right-of-way line of State Farm-toMarket Road No. 731; IH1010E northerly along the present city 'limit line of the City of Fort Wcmth the east right-of-way line of State Farm-to-Market Road No. 731 to a point 2500 feet south of the south right-of-way line of County Road No. 1059; THENCE east along the present city limit lime of the City of Fort Worth a line 2500 feet south of and parallel to the south right-of-way line of County Road No. 1059 to its intersection with the west line of the J. J. Scott Survey; THENCE south along the present city limit line of the City of Fort the west line of the J. J. Scott Survey and the west line of the J. J. Scott Survey produced south to its intersection with the south right-of-way line of County Road No. 1078; THENCE east along the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth the south right-of-way line of County Road No. 1078 to the place of beginning and containing approximately 7.99 square miles. Section 2. That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in conflict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance No. 4823 and 4825, heretofore adopted and passed on July 15, 1963, but as to all other ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this ordinance shall be and is hereby, made cumulative. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be published'one time in a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. Section 4. If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordinance is for any reason held void or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections., subsections, clauses, sentences, phrases or words, except as the same are inseparable from and indispensable to the remaining portions.of the ordinance. Section 5. That this ordinance shall become ef.ective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event. shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publications, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
