Subject: PROPOSED COUNCIL-INITIATED ZONING CHANGES FOR
;, QUADRUPLEXES ALONG CHAPIN ROAD
The May 4 City Council agenda will contain an M&C to initiate the zoning process for
several quadruplexes along Chapin Road. The purpose of the proposed zoning change is
to rezone 12 quadruplexes to a zoning classification that reflects the current land use and
appropriate land use policies. For your reference, the attached PowerPoint presentation
shows the future land use from the 2010 Comprehensive Plan, the current zoning, and the
proposed zoning. Councilmember Zimmerman would like to initiate rezoning of this area in
response to property owner concerns.
Councilmember Zimmerman mailed a letter to the affected property owners on March 5. No
opposition has been noted to date.
Public hearings for the rezoning of these properties would be held by the Zoning
Commission on June 9, 2010, and by the City Council on July 13, 2010.
If you have any questions, please contact Dana Burghdoff, Deputy Planning and
Development Director, at 817-392-8018.
