AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND VACATING THE WESTERN
THIRTY FEET OF AN EXISTING FIFTY FOOT WIDE
EASEMENT CROSSING TRACT A-1, BLOCK 124-R,
WEDGWOOD ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH IN SAID LAND.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the western 30 feet of an existing fifty foot
wide easement crossing Tract A-1, Block 124-R, Wedgwood
Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas,
as hereinafter more particularly described, be and the same
is hereby extinguished, vacated, closed and permanently aban-
doned as an easement for public utilities:
Being a part of a fifty foot wide drainage
and utility easement in Tract A, Block 124-R,
Wedgwood Addition, according to the plat re-
corded in Vol. 388-43, page 98, of the Plat
Records of Tarrant County, Texas, described
as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the west line of
said 50 foot drainage and utility easement,
said point being North 140 41' West 143.7
feet, North 30 57' East 244.4 feet and North
871 16' West 50.0 feet from the Southeast
corner of said Tract A, said point of begin-
ning also being 50.0 feet Borth 870 16' West
from the northeast corner of Tract A-1, Block
124-R, Wedgwood Addition, of a revision of
said Tract A as recorded in Vol. 388-73, page
47, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas;
THENCE South 30 57' West along a line 50
feet west of and parallel to the east line of
said Tract A, a distance of 265 feet, more or
less, to a point;
THENCE South 140 41' East 90 feet, more or
less, to a point in the west line of a 20-foot
wide drainage and utility easement as shown on
the plat of Tract A-1 of Block 124-R, Wedgwood
Addition;
THENCE North 30 57' East along the west line
of said 20-foot easement, 20 feet west of and
parallel to the east line of said Tract A (a
common line with the east line of Tract A-1) ,
a distance of 345 feet, more or less, to a
point for corner;
THENCE North 87' 16' West 30.0 feet to the
point of beginning.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee
to the land in said easement above described is hereby re-
leased and shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as
provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage.

Trailwood Land Company has requested that the City vacate a north-south
easement, width variable to 30 ft. and a length of approximately 388 ft. ,
being the western 30 ft. of an existing 50 ft. wide easement crossing
Tract A-1, Block 124-R, Wedgwood Addition, as shown on the attached map.
At the time of initial platting, a 50 ft. wide easement was acquired by
dedication and was needed because drainage was handled in an open ditch.
Subject easement now contains an existing enclosed storm drain and sanitary
sewer facilities that are satisfactorily accommodated within the east 20 ft.
City departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request
and have no objections. The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request
and recommends adoption of an ordinance vacating the easement as requested.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject easement
as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
