REED 11IMES
The Oakwood Cemetery Association, owner of all adjoining property, has
requested the City to vacate that portion of Trinity Avenue which ex-
tends from the south line of Grand Avenue through Oakwood Cemetery to
where Trinity Avenue intersects with Gould Avenue as shown on the at-
tached map.
Subject right-of-way, acquired by dedication, has been closed off from
public use since curb and gutter was installed along Grand Avenue several
years ago.
This request is made for the purpose of providing additional off-street
parking.
City Departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request
and have no objection to this vacation provided the applicant plats the
vacated right-of-way with the adjoining property.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption
of an ordinance vacating the public right-of-way as requested, subject
to replatting. The Applicant has submitted a satisfactory replat.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way
as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
