AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF THAT PORTION
OF ORDINANCE NO. 1733 AUTHORIZING TH& ISSUANCE OF BONDS
NUMBERED FOURTEEN HUNDRED FIFTY-SIX (1456) TO FIFTEEN
HMMM (1500), INCLUSIVE, OUT OF SERIES 56, AND THE
RIZEAL IN WHOLE OF ORDINANCE NO. 1787, VEIGH ORDINANCE
AMENDED ORDINANCE NO. 1782, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF
BONDS NUMBERED FIFTEEN HUNDRED AND ONE (1501) TO FIFTEEN
HUNDRED FIFTY-ONE (1551), INCLUSIVE, OUT OF SERIES 56,
AND THE REPEAL IN WHOLE OF ORDINANCE NO. 1788, WHICH
ORDINANCE ALMTMD ORDINANCE NO. 1783, AUTHORIZING THE
ISSUANCE OF BONDS NUMB= FIFTEEN HUNDRED FIFTY-TWO
(1552) TO SIXTH HUNDRED TWENTY-FOUR (1624), INCLUSIVE,
OUT OF SERIES 56; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL
BE IN FORCE AND EFFECT FROM AND AFTER THE DATE OF ITS
PASSAGE.
THAT WHEREAS, the Gity Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas,
pursuant to the power vested in said governing body, did lawfully pass and
adopt Ordinance No. 1733 on the 13th day of January, A. D. 1932, in which
ordinance it authorized the issuance of negotiable coupon bonds of the City
of Fort Worth amounjing to the principal sum of One Hundred Thousand Dollars
(0100,'000.00) out of Series 56; and,
WHEREAS, out of said issue of One Hundred Thousand Dollars
(0100,000.00), only Fifty-five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00) worth of said
bonds were ever sold; that the remaining Forty-five Thousand Dollars ($45,000.00)
worth of said bonds, numbered from fourteen hundred fifty-six (1456) to fifteen
hundred (1500), inclusive, have never left the possession of the City of Fort
Worth and have never been sold or delivered to anyone; and,
Wf]EREA.S, the said City Council, pursuant to the authority aforesaid,
did lawfully pass and adopt Ordinance No. 1787 on the 18th day of April, A. D.
1934, and which ordinance amended Ordinance No. 1782, passed and adopted by
the City Council on the loth day of January, A. D. 1934, authorizing the
issuance of negotiable coupon bonds amounting to the principal sum of Yifty-
one Thousand Dollars ($51,000.00), numbered from fifteen hundred and one
(1501) to fifteen hundred fifty-one (1551), inclusive, out of Series 56; and,
WHEREAS, all of said bonds are in the possession of the City of
Fort Worth and they have never been sold or delivered to anyone; and,
WHEREAS, the said City Council, pursuant to the authority aforesaid,
did lawfully pass and adopt Ordinance No. 1788 on the 18th day of April, A. D.
1934, and which ordinance amended Ordinance No. 1783, passed and adopted
by the City Council on the loth day of January, A. D. 1934, authorizing the
issuance of negotiable coupon bonds amounting to the principal sum of
Seventy-three Thousand Dollars ($73,000.00) out of Series 56; and,
WHEREAS, all of said bonds are in the possession of the City of
Fort Worth and none of them have ever been sold or delivered to anyone, and
said bonds are numbered from fifteen hundred fifty-two (1552) to sixteen
hundred twenty-four (1624), inclusive, NOW, MOMFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WMM, TEXAS:
SECTION I.
That that portion of Ordinance No. 1733 which authorized the issuance
of bonds numbered from fourteen hundred fifty-six (1456) to fifteen hundred
(1500), inclusive, out of Series 56, and Ordinance No. 1787, Mhich amended
Ordinance No. 1782 and authorized the issuance of bands numbered from fifteen
hundred and one (1501) to fifteen hundred fifty-one (1551), inclusive, out
of Series 56, and Ordinance No. 1788 which amended Ordinance No. 1783 and
authorized the issuance of bonds numbered from fifteen hundred fifty-two (1552)
to sixteen hundred twenty-four (1624), inclusive, out of Series 56, be and the
same are hereby repealed and shall be of no further force and effect.
SECTION II.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.
