AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION I OF ORDINANCE
NO. 1758 PRESCRIBING RATES TO BE CHARGED CON-
SUMERS OF WATER SUPPLIED BY IHE FORT WORTH CITY
WATERWORKS, AND, IN ADDITION THERETO, PROVID-
ING FOR RATES DURING THE BILLING PERIOD FOR
THE MONTHS OF JUNE, JULY, AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER
OF THE YEAR 1934, SUCH RATES BEING APPLICABLE
ONLY TO RESIDEN`1'IAL CONSUMERS USING WATER FOR
RESIDENTIAL AND IRRIGATIONAL PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION I.
The following rates per month shall be the rates charged
for water to consumers within the corporate limits of the City
of Fort Worth, Texas, until revised by the City Council of said
city by subsequent ordinance, to wit:

First 266-2/3,I $0.75 Minimum
Next 49,733-2/3' �' 0.18 per 100 Cu. Ft.
Next 40,000 0.15 per 100 Cu. Ft.
Next 43,333-1/3 0.12 per 100 Cu. Ft.
Next 1,600,000 0.09 per 100 Cu. Ft.
Next 4,266,666-2/3 0.06 per 100 Cu. Ft.
The above rates shall be the rates charged for water furn-
ished to all persona, *A-rms-A4K corporations, provided, however,
that during the months of June, July, August and September of the
year 1934 residential consumers using water for residential and
irrigational purposes shall be billed, and their statements shall
show,_ the following rates per month or fraction thereof; the con-
sumption period upon which said bills are to be made shall be the
months of May, June, July and August:

First 333-1/3 $0.75 Minimum
Next--All water consumed over and above 333-1/3 cubic feet
up to an amount which shall equal the total amount
of water consumed by the same consumer during the
same month of the year 1932, shall be at the rate
of 0.18 per 100 Cu. Ft.
Next--After the amount of water consumed for each of the
months of June, July, August and September of 1932
has been reached, all additional water consumed up
to the total number of gallons consumed during the
same month and the corresponding period for the year
1932, the rate shall be 0.09 per 100 Cu. Ft.

Next--For all water consumed over and above the amount
equal to double the amount consumed for each of the
months of June, July, August and September of 1932,
as stated in the two preceding paragraphs, the rates
shall be the same as those existing prior to the en-
actment of Ordinance No. 1754, and as provided in
the first table above applicable to all consumers.
SECTION II.
Under the terms of this ordinance "residential consumers
of water for residential and irrigation purposes" is meant those
using water in or upon the premises of a residence or dwelling
r� for the purpose of sprinkling lawns, shrubbery, flowers, gardens
v' or any other improvements to the property exterior to the dwelling,
and does not include, and shall not be applicable to, hotels, ten-
ements, commercial establishments, industries and apartment houses
having more than two separate apartments or boarding houses having
more than two rooms for occupancy by tenants.
SECTION III.
The water consumers who have no rating for the correspond-
ing months of the year 1932, to wit, June, July, August and Sep-
tember, and to whom the rate fixed by the ordinance would be ap-
plicable, shall apply to the Superintendent of Water Works for a
rating and the fixing of a bill so as to fix a rate, and the Super-

plicable to such consumers and the premises involved, and upon
such determination the rate when so fixed shall be final.
SECTION IV.
All charges and assessments due for water to residential
consumers as herein defined shall be made and collected in con-
formity with other ordinances and the regulations pertaining to
the Fort Worth City Waterworks.

This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage.
