Agenda Item H There was presented a resolution canvassing returns and declaration of results Res. No. 3434-11- of the Special Election by the qualified voters of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, 2006 held on November 7, 2006, on the question of whether the City of Fort Worth Declare Results of should be authorized to recognize an employee association as a sole and November 7, 2006, exclusive bargaining agent for the municipal police officers and authorizing the Meet and Confer City of Fort Worth to make agreements with the employee association as Election provided by state law. Assistant City Secretary Glover provided the canvass of the election results to the following proposition: Authorizing the City of Fort Worth to recognize an employee association as a sole and exclusive bargaining agent for the municipal police officers and authorizing the City of Fort Worth to make agreements with the employee association as provided by state law. The motion carried unanimously eight (8) ayes to zero (0) nays, with Council Member Espino absent.
