AN ORDINANCE ALTERING THE BOUNDARY LINES OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH SO AS TO EXCLUDE CERTAIN TERRITORY LY- ING WITHIN SAID CITY; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The boundary limits of the City of Fort Worth are hereby changed and altered so as to exclude from said boundary limits the following ter- ritory situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: Tract 1. Parts of the S. C. Inman, F. G. Beasley, B. B. B. & C. Ry. Co., and all of the S. Swarthout Survey in Tarrant County, Texas: Beginning at a point in the present city limits of the City of Fort Worth, said point being on the north bank of the Clear Fork of the Trinity River at its intersection with the survey line between the A. B. Conner Survey and the S. C. Inman Survey; Thence south along the east line of the S. C. Inman and F. G. Beasley Surveys and the west line of the A. B. Conner, H. H. Edwards and A. Vogt Surveys, to the south- east corner of the F. G. Beasley Survey; Thence west along the south line of said Beasley Survey and the north line of the B. B. B. & C. Ry. Co., and J. Howard Survey to the northwest corner of said J. Howard Survey; Thence south along the west line of the said Howard Survey and the east line of the said B. B. B. & C. Ry. Co. Survey, passing the southwest corner of the Howard Survey, continue south across the B. B. B. & C. Ry. Co. Survey to a point in the present city limit line, said point being in the south line of the said B. B. B. & C. Ry. Co. Survey and being also in the boundary line of the Fort Worth Inde- pendent School District; Thence west along the present city limit line, which is also the boundary line of said School District and the south line of the B. B. B. & C. Ry. Co. and the S. Swarthout Sur- veys, to the southwest corner of said S. Swarthout Survey; Thence north, continuing along the present city limit line, along the west line of the S. Swarthout, the B. B. B. & C. Ry. Co. and the F. G. Beasley Surveys to the north bank of the Clear Fork of the Trinity River; Thence in a northeasterly direction, continuing with the present city limit line along the north bank of the Clear Fork of the Trinity River and its meanders, to the place of beginning. I Tract 2. The J. T. Waddington Survey and parts of the T. B. Taylor, T. McCann, and Jno. Jennings Surveyst Beginning at a point in the present city limits of the City of Fort Worth, at the northwest corner of the J. T. Waddington Survey, said point being on the boundary line of the Fort Worth Independent School District; Thence east along the north line of said Waddington Sur- vey and the south line of the T. B. Taylor Survey approxi- mately 440 feet for a corner that is 934 feet west of the southeast corner of said Taylor Survey; Thence north 934 feet for a corner at the northwest corner of the L. L. Rector Tract; Thence east 934 feet for a corner in the survey line be- tween said Taylor Survey and the T. McCann Survey at a point approximately 100 feet north of the southwest corner of said McCann Survey; Thence south along the west line of said McCann Survey approximately 70 feet to a point 34 feet north of the south- west corner of said McCann Survey; Thence east, parallel to and 34 feet northerly from the south line of said McCann Survey, a distance of 1694.4 feet for corner at the northeast corner of the L. L. Rector Tract; Thence south, with the east line of said Rector Tract, and continuing south to a point in the present city limit line, said point being 1143 feet west of the east line of the said Jno. Jennings Survey; Thence west along the present city limit line, across the said Jennings Survey, 3065 feet to a corner in the present city limit line in the west line of said Jennings Survey; Thence north along the present city limit line and the west line of the said Jennings Survey and the boundary line of the Fort Worth Independent School District to the place of beginning. Tract 3. Parts of the Charles Phipps & H. H. Hudson Surveys: Beginning at a point in the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, in the south line of the Charles Phipps Survey, 1805.5 feet east of its southwest corner, said point being also the southeast corner of Rosedale Park Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Texas; Thence north, along the east line of said Rosedale Park Addition, approximately 1930 feet, crossing the survey line between the said Phipps Survey and the H. .H. Hudson Survey, in all approximately 3348 feet for a corner, said corner being the northwest corner of the Jim Riley 46.6 acre tract and being 513 feet south of the north line of the said Hud- son Survey; Thence along the north and east line of said Riley 46.6 acre tract *as follows: East 824.3 feet for a corner; thence south 24 feet for a corner; thence east 326.1 feet for a corner; thence south 81.4 feet for a corner; thence east 359 feet for a corner; thence south 150 feet for a corner; thence east 290 feet for a corner in the east line of said Hudson Survey 768 feet south of its northeast,corner; Thence south along the east line of the Hudson and Phipps Surveys 3093 feet to a point on the present city limit line at the southeast corner of said Phipps Survey; Thence west along the present city limit line and the south line of the Phipps Survey 1805.5 feet to the place of beginning. Tract 4. Part of the J. C. McCommas (South) Survey (Abstract #1039): Beginning at a corner in the present city limit line of the City"of Fort Worth at the northwest corner of Oak Knoll Village, city limits, said point being approximately 800 feet west of the southeast corner of the J. C. McCommas (South) Survey; Thence north to the north line of 28th Street, which is State Highway No. 183; Thence west along the north line of said 28th Street and State Highway No. 183 to the east line of Fairview Street in Riverside Estates, an addition to the City of Fort Worth; Thence north 2 degrees 08 minutes west along the east line of said Fairview Street and the east line of Lots 2 and 3 in Block 5 of said Riverside Estates to the east com- mon corner of Lots 3 and 4 of Block 5 in said Riverside Estates Addition; Thence west across said Riverside Estates Addition, on the lot line between Lots 3 and 4 in Block 5, and between Lots 7 and 8 and between Lots 19 and 20 in Block 4, and be- tween Lots 7 and 8 and between Lots 19 and 20 in Block 3, and between Lots 7 and 8 in Block 2, and continuing west for a corner, said corner being approximately 2038 feet east and 1109 feet south of the northwest corner of the said J. C. McCommas (South) Survey; Thence north approximately 440 feet to a corner in the present city limits of Fort Worth, said corner being 868.5 feet south and 2038 feet east of the northwest corner of said J. C. McCommas (South) Survey; Thence, continuing north along the present city limits, 868.5 feet to a corner in the present city limits, in the survey line between the two (North and South) J. C. McCommas Surveys; Thence east, along the present city limits, on the line between the said two McCommas Surveys, to the northeast corner of said J. C. McCommas (South) Survey, said point be. ing also in the west line of the J. W. ELliston Survey and also in the east boundary line of the Fort Worth Independent School District; Thence south along the present city limits, which is also the east line of the said McCommas Survey and the east line of said Fort Worth Independent School District, to a corner in the present city limits at the southeast corner of said McCommas Survey; Thence west, along the present city limits and the south line of the said McCommas Survey, to the place of beginning. Tract 5. Parts of the McKinney & Williams Survey, Isaac Schrum Survey and J. W. Smith Survey: Beginning in the present city limits at a point where the east line of the Grafa-Marys Creek Road intersects the south line of the Benbrook--Cardinal-Chaplin Road (County Road No. 1040); Thence east along the south line of said Benbrook Cardinal- Chaplin Road and continuing east parallel to and approximate- ly 30 feet south of the north line of the McKinney & Wil- liams Survey and the north line of the Isaac Schrum Survey to a point in the east right of way line of U. S. Highway No. 377; Thence in a southwesterly direction along the east right of way line of said U. S. Highway No. 377 to its intersec- tion with the present city limits at a point east from the intersection of the east line of the Grafa-Maryfs Creek Road and the westerly line of said U. S. Highway No. 377; Thence west along the present city limit line, crossing said U. S. Highway No. 377 to the intersection of the west right of way line of said U. S. Highway No. 377 and the east line of said Grafa-Marys Creek Road; Thence in a northerly direction along the present city limits and the east line of said Grafa-Marys Creek Road to the place of beginning. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort Worth Press, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective and be in fall force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publication, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
