HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 6289 TM =yam ORDINANCE NO. � AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT WEST ELIZABETH LANE FROM THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF ALTA MERE DRIVE TO THE WEST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF THE T. & P. RAILROAD SPUR BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That West Elizabeth Lane from the east right-of-day_ line of Alta Mere Drive to the west right-of-way line of the T. & P. Railroad spur be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever. SECTION 2. That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said street is hereby released and shall re- vert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. FA, DATE REFERENCE SUBJECT: Vacation of the 7100 Block of PAGE GRAHAM 6 ILDING NUMBER West Elizabeth Lane (V-70-15) 1 5/11/70 Pz-387 Iof WILKES + Bob Brennand, owner of all adjoining land, has requested that the City vacate West Elizabeth Lane a width of 60 feet and length of 290 feet from the east right-of-way line of Alta Mere Drive to the west right- of-way line of the T & P Railroad spur, as shown on the attached map. Subject right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is not open on the ground. City departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and have no objections provided the Applicant plats the vacated right-of--way with adjoining property. The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption of an ordinance vacating the public right-of-way as requested, subject to the condition recom- mended above by the City departments and private utility companies. The Applicant has submitted a replat that incorporates the right-of-way proposed for vacation with adjoining property. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject right-of-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
