AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
THE UTILITY EASEMENT WHOLLY WITHIN LOT A, BLOCK
1, FIVE-FIVE-0 BEACH STREET INDUSTRIAL PARK
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, AND ADJOINING
THE PROPERTY'S EASTERN BOUNDARY, A WIDTH OF 5'
AND A LENGTH OF 645.2' COMMENCING AT A POINT
284.24' NORTH OF THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF SAID
LOT A, BLOCK 1, FIVE-FIVE-0 BEACH STREET INDUSTRIAL
PARK AND EXTENDING TO THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE;
PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID
LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE-
WITH AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE-
COME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the utility easement wholly within Lot A. Block 1,
Five-Five-O Beach Street Industrial Park Addition to the City
of Fort Worth, and adjoining the property's eastern boundary,
a width of 5' and a length of 645.2' commencing at a point
284.24' north of the southeast corner of said Lot A, Block 1,
Five-Five-0 Beach Street Industrial Park and extending to the
north property line be and the same is hereby vacated, aban-
doned and permanently closed as an easement for public utilities.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described utility
easement is hereby released and will revert to the adjacent
owners as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are
reserved for any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage and
it is so ordained.

Mr. Melvin E. Evans, owner of the subject property and all abutting property,
has requested that the City vacate a utility easement contained wholly within
Lot A, Block 1, Five-Five-0 Beach Street Industrial Park, and adjoining the
property's eastern boundary, a width of 5 feet and a length of 645.2 feet,
commencing at a point 284.24 feet north of the southeast corner of said Lot A,
Block 1, Five-Five-0 Beach Street Industrial Park and extending to the north
property line, as shown on the attached map.
The subject easement, acquired by dedication, is used as a surfaced parking
area but otherwise contains no improvements. City departments and private
utility companies have reviewed this request and have no objection provided
that a satisfactory replat of the vacated easement is submitted. Such a
replat, approved by reviewing City departments and private utility companies,
has been submitted.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject easement
as requested.
