HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 390 Ordinance No. �D An Ordinance defining Pool Balls, prohibiting minors from enter- ing, remaining therein, or playing, amt and fixing the kaua for clos- ing and opening of all Fool Halls in the City of Ft. Worth. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of X the City of Fort Worth: Sec. 1.- That the term "Pool Hall" as used herein shall mean and inolude the following: Any room hall or building in which are exhibited any pool or billiard table or tablesfor the purpose of permitting games played thereon for hire, revenue, prize, fees or gain of any kind. Sec. 2.- That it shall be unlawful for the owner, manager or lessee of any pool Hall, as hereinbefore defined, or any employe therein, to permit any person under the age of twenty one years to enter such place of business, and remain tereir. for.any length of time, without the consent of the parent of such minor, or some one standing in their place sad stead, or to permit any person under tkt* the age of twenty one years to play billiards or poo)i in such place of business without the consent of theXg parent of such minor or some one standing in their stead place and stead. Sec. 3.- That every owner, manager or lessee of any Pool Hall as hereinbefore defined shall close and keep elosed their room, hall or building hu wherein are exhibited an., roll or billiard ta- ble or tables for the purpose of permitting games played thereon for hire, revenue, prize, fees, or gain of any kind, at 9:70 o'clock P.M. of ee,ch week day, until 6 o'clock A.M. of each week day, and , shall close and keep closed such room, hall or building from and after 9:30 o'clock P. M. on Saturday, until 6 o'clock A.M. Aof tha.fol- lowing Monday of each week, and within the hours above set forth it shall be unlawful for any such owner, lessee, manager or employe to open or keep p open or permit to open or permit to be opened, or kept open any such room, hall or building above referred to for the purpose of zxxizg carrying on said Pool Hall business. Sec. 4.- That any owr_ee, lessee, manage employe of or in zaid such Pool Hall as hereinbefore defined km!,,shall violate any a of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed and upon conviction thereof shall be fined .# sum *W not less than Twenty ($20.00) Dollars nor more than ®ne Hundred (�100.00) Dollars.
