AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT A PORTION OF 33RD STREET
AS ORIGINALLY PLATTED, IN FOSTEPCO HEIGHTS ADDITION,
BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE
REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL OIL-
DINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS
ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
WHEREAS, the hereinafter described portion of 33rd Street as original,
ly platted, in-Fostepco Heights Addition to the City of Fort Borth, has not
for years been used by the public as a public thoroughfare, and if it were
opened as a travelled way, it would constitute a menace to the public, and
therefore should be closed, vacated and abandoned; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the following described portion of 33rd Street as originally
platted, in Fostepco Heights Addition to the City of Fort Worth, be and the
same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or pub—
lic thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever:
Parcel No. 1 — All that part of 33rd Street as originally
platted lying and being between the east line of North Main
Street and the west line of North Commerce Street and between
Block 60 and Block 73, Fostepco Heights Addition, save and ex—
cept a strip for an alley the same width as the existing alleys
in said Blocks 60 and 73.
Parcel No. 2 — All that part of 33rd Street as originally
platted lying and being between the east line of North Commerce
Street and the west line of the alley in Block 59, Fostepco
Heights Addition, and between the south line of said Block 59
and the northerly right of way line of the present 33rd Street.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in said street shall revert as provided by
law, with the exception, however, that an easement is reserved for public
utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage.
