ANNF,XING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE
BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NNISPAP1SR PUBLISHED IN CITY SECRETARY
SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE KITH THE PROVISIONS OF VT. WORTH, TEX.
SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF TIC, CITY CHARTER;
AMENDING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
?RESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND SPECIFYING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort
Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral
part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant Oounty,
Texas, and being described by rates and bounds as follows:
BEING a tract of land about 89 miles southwest from the Court-
House of Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in and including all or
part of the J. B. McDermott and M. E. Asbury Surveys and being more „
fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the present City Limit Line of the City
of Fort Worth, said point being the northwest corner of Tract 1 of
the J. B. McDermott Survey.
THENCE south, along the west line of Tract 1 of the J. B.
McDermott Survey to the southwest corner of the J. B. McDermott
Survey.
THENCE east, along the south line of the J. B. McDermott
Survey, to the .northwest corner of the M. E. Asbury Survey.
THENCE south, along the west line of the M. E. Asbury Survey
and the west line of the M. E. Asbury Survey produced south, to its
intersection with the north right-of-way line of County Road No. 1043.
THENCE east, along the north right-of-way line of County Road
No. 1043 to its intersection with the westerly right-of-gray line of
County Road No. 1089.
THENCE northerly, along the westerly right-of-way line of County
Road No. 1089, to its intersection with the present City Limit Line
of the City of Fort North.
THENCE continuing northerly and northeasterly, along the westerly
and northwesterly right-of-way line of County Road No. 1089, the present
City Limit Line of the City of Fort 4orth, to its intersection with the
east line of Tract 1 of the J. B. McDermott Survey.
THENCE north, along the east line of Tract 1 of the J. B. McDermott
Survey, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Korth, to the
northeast corner of Tract 1 of the J. B. McDermott Survey.
THENCE west, along the north line of Tract 1 of the J. B. McDermott
Survey, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort worth, to the
place of beginning and containing approximately .297 square miles.
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in
conflict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance
No. 3766, heretofore adopted and passed on January 7, 1963, but as to all other
ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this ordi-
nance shall be and is hereby, made cumulative.
Section 3.
That this ordinance shall be published one time in a daily newspaper pub-
lished in the City of Fort worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40,
Chapter XXUIII of the City Charter.
Section 4.
If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordi-
nance is for any reason held void or unconstitutional by a court of competent
jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining
sections, subsections, clauses, sentenceg phrases or words, except as the same
are inseparable from and indispensable to the remaining portions of the ordinance.
Section 5.
That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect
upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days
from the date of its publications, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
