HomeMy WebLinkAboutIR 9202 INFORMAL REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS No. 9202 To the Mayor and Members of the City Council March 2, 2010 Page 1 of 1 Subject: PROPOSED COUNCIL-INITIATED ZONING CHANGES FOR ;*s PORTIONS OF THE BRENTWOOD-OAK HILL NEIGHBORHOOD The March 9 City Council agenda will contain an M&C to initiate the zoning process for a portion of the Brentwood-Oak Hill neighborhood. The purpose of the proposed zoning change is to rezone a large residential property to a zoning classification that reflects the current land use and appropriate land use policies. For your reference, the attached PowerPoint presentation shows the future land use from the 2010 Comprehensive Plan, the current zoning, and the proposed zoning. Councilmember Scarth would like to initiate rezoning of this area in response to neighborhood concerns. Councilmember Scarth mailed a letter to the affected property owner on February 18. No opposition has been noted to date. Public hearings for the rezoning of these properties will be held by the Zoning Commission on April 14, 2010, and by the City Council on May 4, 2010.
