AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING
CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A
DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF
THE CITY CHARTER; AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS.,
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the
City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits
and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being
situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds
as follows:
A tract of land adjacent to the City of Fort Worth,
adjacent to the City of White Settlement, adjacent to
the City of Westworth Village and adjacent to Westover
Hills, more particularly described as follows:
A tract of land out of the Peter Pate, J. Collett and
the C. Connelly Surveys to Tarrant County, Texas,
described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the present City of Fort Worth
city limit line at the southwest corner of the City of
Westover Hills; thence north along the west city limit
line of Westover Hills and along the line extended to a
point in the southwesterly line of Roaring Springs Road;
thence in a northwesterly direction along the southwesterly
line of Roaring Springs Road to a point in the south city
limit line of the City of Westworth; thence west and south
along the city limit line of the City of Westworth to a
point in a north line of the City of White Settlement, said
point being in the J. Collett Survey; thence east, south,
west, and south along the present City of White Settlement
city limit line to a point in the present City of Fort Worth
city limit line along the north line of Calmont Avenue;
thence east, north, and east along the present City of Fort
Worth city limit line to the place of beg-inning, and con-
taining approximately 1.7 square miles.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort Worth Press,
a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, ih accordance with
the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and ef-
fect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30)
days from the date of its publication as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
