AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT BIRDELL STREET FROM THE
NORTH LINE OF KUTMAN COURT TO THE SOUTH LINE OF
EAST ROSEDALE BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED;
PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That Birdell Street from the north line of Kutman Court
to the south line of East Rosedale be and the same is here-
by closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or
public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee
to the land in said street is hereby released and shall re-
vert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage.

John P. Ryan, owner of all adjoining property, has requested the vacation of
Birdell Street from the north line of Kutmann Court to the south line of East
Rosedale, as shown on the attached map. Abandonment of the street right-af-
way will permit construction of a commercial and apartment development.
Private utility companies and City departments have reviewed the 'request and
do not object to the proposed vacation of Birdell Street. The applicant has
filed a replat of the street and adjoining property which is acceptable to
the City Plan Commission.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed the proposed closing and recommends
adoption of an ordinance which has been prepared vacating the street. City
Council action on the Plan Commission recommendation is requested.
