BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEET CITY FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION I. That Subsection 1 of Ordinance No. 1792 be and the same is hereby amended and, after being so emended, it shall read as follows: The following rates per month, or (ration thereof, shall be the rates charged for water furnished to consumers within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Worth until revised by the City Council of said city by subsequent ordinance, to wit: Cubic Feet Rate First 266-2/3 Cu. Ft. .06 n n n n " 5.333:333-1/3 Ga- Ft- .0525 per 100 cubic feet The above rates shall be the rates charged for water furnished to all persons, firms and corporations, provided, however, that daring the billing periods beginning May 1, 1938, and ending September 30, 1938, residential con- sumers using water for residential and irrigational purposes shall be billed during said billing periods as follows: The average water consumption of the months of December, 1937, January, February and March, 1938, ahall be used as a basis and billed at the regular scheduled rates as set out above, and all water consumed in excess of the above average shall be billed at one-half (1/2) of the sched- uled rates. SECTION II. Under the terms of this ordinance "residential consumers of water for residential and irrigational purposes" is meant those using water in or upon the premises of a residence or dwelling for the purpose of sprinkling lawns, shrubbery, flowers, gardens and any other improvements to the property ex- terior to the dwelling, and does not include, and shall not be applicable to hotels, tenements, conanerd al establishements, industries and apartment houses having more than four separate apartments or boarding houses having more than three rooms for occupancy by tenants, and be it further provided that in case of apartments and subdivided dwellings for which more than one meter is placed, that the reduced summer rate shall apply only to the meter of the con- sumer who maintains and waters the exterior pro=ses of the property. SECTION III. All charges and assessments due for water to residential consumers as herein defined shall be made and collected in conformity with other or- d-inances and regmlations pertainir;g to the Fort Worth City Water Works. SECTION IP. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage.
