AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE WEST 347.2 FEET OF
THE 2400 BLOCK OF LUDELLE STREET BE VACATED, ABAN-
DONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF
THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the west 347.2 feet of the 2400 block of Ludelle
Street be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and perma-
nently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any
kind or character whatever, save and except that easements
are reserved for any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee
to the land in said street is hereby released and shall re-
vert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage.

W. J. Newell, owner of all adjoining property, has requested the vacation of ONQ,
the west 347.2 feet of the 2400 block of Iudelle Street, as shown on the at-
tached map. Abandonment of the portion of the street as requested will per-
mit better use of adjacent industrial properties. The street is not needed
for access to abutting property.
City departments and the private utility companies have reviewed the request
and do not object to the proposed vacation. The City Plan Commission has re-
viewed the proposed vacation and recommends adoption of the ordinance that
has been prepared vacating the street as requested, provided the owner ac-
complishes the following:
1) Replats the subject street and the adjoining property.
2) Provides an adequate drainage easement extending south from the proposed
cul-de-sac.
3) Retains an easement in the portion of the street to be abandoned for exist-
ing utilities.
The applicant has submitted a replat of the subject right-of-way and the
adjoining properties which dedicates the easements as requested. City Council
action on the Plan Commission's recommendation is requested.
