With a quorum of the City Council Members present, Mayor Pro tem Silcox called the special
called session of the Fort Worth City Council to order at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2005, in the
City Council Chamber of the Fort Worth City Hall, 1000 Throckmorton Street, Fort Worth, Texas
76102.
AGENDA ITEM IIāREPORT OF THE CITY MANAGER
PZ-2629 There was presented Mayor and Council Communication No. PZ-2629, dated
Res. No. 3269-10- October 25, 2005, from the City Manager recommending that the area known

Council Member Jordan requested that Mayor and Council Communication

PZ-2630 There was presented Mayor and Council Communication No. PZ-2930, dated

Council consider an agreement to postpone full purpose annexation and extend
limited-purpose annexation.
Mayor Pro tern Silcox requested staff provide an explanation of the agreement.
Mr. Bob Riley, Development Department Director, stated that Mayor and
Council Communication No. PZ-2629 would remove the 51.3 acres from the
Annexation Plan and PZ-2630 allowed the Council to consider an agreement to
postpone annexation until after January 1, 2009. He added that within the
subject 51.3 acre area, there were 42 separately platted lots. Owners of 28 lots
had signed the agreement to postpone full purpose annexation and extend
limited purpose annexation until after January 1, 2009 and at the City's sole
discretion. This represented a majority of the effective landowners (66.67
percent). He further stated that owners of 29 lots had signed the petition to
annexation after January 1, 2009, which represented a majority of the effected
landowners (69.05 percent).
Council Member Burdette made a motion, seconded by Council Member Hicks,
that Mayor and Council Communication No. PZ-2629, adopting Resolution No.
3269-10-2005, and PZ-2630 postponing full purpose annexation of the Willow
Springs Subdivision until after January 1, 2009, be adopted. The motion
carried unanimously eight (8) ayes to zero (0) nays, with Mayor Moncrief
absent.
Agenda Item III As there were no significant items to be discussed by the Council, the
Executive Session Executive Session was not held.
Agenda Item IV There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:19 p.m.
Adjournment
